From the official website

"Join the BLOOD PACT and help the band choose their set-lists for the upcoming "Occult Roots" tour!! In addition to performing the "Goddamnit" album in it's entirety, the band is leaving it up to you to tell them what to play. Get the details here."

Awesome. Goddamnit in its enitirety will be amazing

!MuDvAyNiAn! 03-24-2006 05:27 PM

what is everyones favourite alk3 album? i really think each album is amazing and can not decide...

chumpradio 03-24-2006 05:42 PM

Probably MICF, but they are all amazing albums.
Least favourite is Crimson probably, although it is still amazing.

!MuDvAyNiAn! 03-24-2006 06:01 PM

i was thinkin MICF as well..really really good album. i love crimson but then again i love them all, its too hard decision to make

shangbang 03-24-2006 09:46 PM

My favorite is probably MICF followed by FHTI. They're all amazing though

HitHardDrums55 03-24-2006 11:24 PM

goddamnit and self titled tie...then probably crimson for a CLOSE 2nd/3rd...i'd say the rest are about equal...on a scale of 1-10 the lowest alk3 get in my book is probably 8.5

Chilly-Bean-Bop 03-24-2006 11:37 PM

MICF and GM for me.

!MuDvAyNiAn! 03-25-2006 05:57 PM

does any1 know any good bands similar to alk3?

billiejoe84 03-26-2006 10:04 AM

Lily once sent me a track by Black Sunday... they were a bit Alk3-esque. But not totally... I think you'd be hard-pressed to find someone who sounds totally like them.

!MuDvAyNiAn! 03-26-2006 10:09 AM

not some1 totally like them but similar. thanks ill give them a try

chumpradio 03-26-2006 11:07 AM

Hot Water Music are a great band, but their lyrics aren't like Alk3's really. But music-wise, they write a lot of stuff similar to Matt's songs.

shangbang 03-26-2006 05:59 PM

The Alk3 show I was gonna go to sold out :(

Oh and as for bands that sound like them Hot Water Music instantly come to mind but they were already mentioned. Maybe The Lawrence Arms or The Loved Ones? You can also check out Slapstick and Tuesday which are Dan's old bands.

Rise Me Up 03-26-2006 07:37 PM

I downloaded 7 Alk3 albums today, and I have to say, I like the Crimson the best.

HitHardDrums55 03-26-2006 08:41 PM

one man army did a split with alk3...dont really sound like each other, but they're still good

derek played with the suicide machines and recorded Tomorrow by Morrissey
dan's previous bands have already been mentioned
matt does solo stuff, and i cant remember the names of his previous bands
mike felumlee (from here to infirmary drummer) was the original drummer for the smoking popes

!MuDvAyNiAn! 03-27-2006 10:39 AM

thanks guys, got alot to try out!

!MuDvAyNiAn! 03-27-2006 10:40 AM

did alk3 and hot water music not do something together?

chumpradio 03-27-2006 11:04 AM
did alk3 and hot water music not do something together?
They have a split cd, and they have toured together in the past.
I have a live mp3 of Matt Skiba playing Radio with HWM instead of the rest of Alk3.

!MuDvAyNiAn! 03-27-2006 12:24 PM

ye the split cd thought so.. radio is one of my fav alk3 songs!:)

shangbang 03-27-2006 06:00 PM

You should also check out the Dan Adriano/Mike Felumlee split cd

HitHardDrums55 03-28-2006 06:20 AM

and at least the skiba section of the matt skiba/kevin seconds split

Oz Rembrandt 03-29-2006 09:36 AM

I didnt really like Mikes half of the Dan split. Dan's work is always genius though.

POINTLESS5448 03-29-2006 10:20 AM

i jsut found out that the suicide machines old drummer now plays for this band. cool.
