me and brent represent the most jaded cultural snobbishness on mx
despite your constant attempts at snobbishness you're in a less self-awarre category
Lol. You and ADB are far below me. You need to be more meta.
look it's Bizzaro HND
Lol I'm pleased you spoke out against this. |

how does one magically summon enough drugs to make something like this work |
i love tolkien but hes a better storyteller than a writer, if that makes sense
True enough.
Tolkien was a storyteller and a linguistics professor, not an author. it shows. but it matters fuck all, because holy shit.
Awesome way to put it. |
Reading Fantasy is a joke.
|
what do you hope to prove by talking shit about fantasy to a bunch of metalheads
|
I'm about to go run but I'm real lazy today. Bleh.

Gustave Flaubert once said of Balzac: "What a man he would have been had he known how to write!". Balzac is generally regarded as having weak prose, which I disagree to, but is still regarded as a fantastic novelist. I doubt you've read works from either so you may still be confused. I hope this helps you pseudo-intellectuals out. |

He was able to capture millions of people's imagination's, even if they are of a weaker stable then authors You and I read. |

sup mutch?
|
meeting with my arabic professor, hes working on some stuff before class
|
how many languages do you speak?
|
pretty much just english and arabic. i've studied a lot of languages but that doesn't mean i can speak them
|
twoo
that's pretty cool regardless i wish there was more emphasis on learning more languages at an early age in the us |
^What year do you start Mapp? (learning a different language that is - or do you even have classes dedicated to that)
I wish I could speak another language. I wanna learn Cantonese some day though, mostly so I can speak with my azn friends |
i'm jelly of my daughter, she's growing up speaking english, korean, and french. it makes our conversations pretty interesting when she breaks from one language to the other
|
arent you like 21
|
^What year do you start Mapp? (learning a different language that is - or do you even have classes dedicated to that)
I wish I could speak another language.
I have to take a German course to transfer to another school, but I'm never gonna be very fluent in it.
i'm jelly of my daughter, she's growing up speaking english, korean, and french. it makes our conversations pretty interesting when she breaks from one language to the other
thats awesome |

Sorry, I meant as a child in grade school - do you guys have classes to learn basic Spanish and stuff in (ie) grade 3? I hear German is an extremely hard language to learn - or that might just be the course my friend took. Either way, best of luck to ya. I would totally enroll in an Intro to Chinese class next year if it wasn't an all-year course. |
IDK about other districts, but we didn't start learning other languages until high school.
|

Same here. It's a shame, really. |
