I really like firefox, but it wont let me install any plugins.... I cant play music in it, and I cant dl torrents with it

I use Mozilla and everyhting works fine with me. Except in my Firefox browser I've never been able to get plugins working, so I never bothered to go from Mozilla to Firefox.

I can download torrents and stuff fine with FireFox. Just with media it usualy will open the player rather than play it in the browser.
