Cloud cult - The Meaning of 8 ...still
I really like the concept of this album. Craig Minowa has a sweet voice. There are some blah songs on here, especially in comparison with tracks like "Chemicals Collide" and "Take Your Medicine" but overall it's great.

Nine Inch Nails - Year Zero
Listened to most of it. It's ok.
alright THATS IT im downloading the meaning of 8

i think it takes like four mentions of an album from a band ive never heard of for me to drop the hammer and download it.

wowwwww im listening to the opener.. this is like entirely my style.
have you heard b fleischmann? you would love him

Thanks 05-02-2007 12:05 AM

My friend is graduating so he's been doing his final radio show for 8 hours now. Digging it.

perriwinkle 05-02-2007 12:06 AM

whats he playing right now?

Thanks 05-02-2007 12:07 AM

I just requested some Blonde Redhead...so that. Before that was Maserati, Replicator, and Kimya Dawson. That is to say a bunch of cool stuff I've never heard of.

perriwinkle 05-02-2007 12:08 AM

yeah ive only heard of blonde redhead and Maserati. i think right now i will check out an opener from each of the other two, because i kinda feel like finding some new music

Thanks 05-02-2007 12:10 AM

Oh, I apparently have a Replicator album. He gave it to me a year or so ago when we swapped data CDs full of mp3s.

perriwinkle 05-02-2007 12:11 AM

whats it like? i cant find a single replicator song on slsk but im getting the opener from Kimya Dawson's newest album because allmusic.com says its her best

Thanks 05-02-2007 12:12 AM

I don't remember. I just looked at AMG and recognize the cover of the Surveillance album, but I can't find it on iTunes anymore. So I guess it's lost.

perriwinkle 05-02-2007 12:17 AM

listening to Kimya Dawson. wow this is actually very good i like her vocal style, and her lyrics are clever. its all very casual and light. im gonna have to pick up this album. this is what i imagine it would sound like if elea tenuta from heavy vegetable and thingy ever did a solo album.

I think it's really gay when people when listen to Miles Davis or John Coltrane and people are like "omfg you don't like jazz if you only listen to them omfg you have to listen to (insert disgustingly large list of artists) then IIIII will give you my permission to like jazz >:]". It's like, fuck! Let people like what they like.
