Pitchfork Media reviewed the Wire albums Pink Flag, Chairs Missing, and 154, and they received 10/10, 10/10, and 9.1/10, respectively. I thought that was a bit silly, but it's Pitchfork.

Exactly. They're good, but I don't think there are any albums that warrant perfect ratings. Well, there is one in mind, but I'm not going to disclose that.

I never understood why so many people (in the Indie Nerd world, anyway) have that attitude about rating systems. All a 10/10 means is that one person really, really likes the record a whole bunch. "Perfection" is such an abstract concept that avoiding high ratings because you don't find it is just silly. All that record review ratings are good for is expressing an opinion of an album in simple terms. If a reviewer thinks an album really rules hard, they should give it full points.

Dillinger Escape Plan is one of the most insane live bands around, especially since At the Drive-In broke up. As if you would actually listen to Alt/Indie superstar "dei" on this matter. Just go see 'em!

I managed to get two tickets to Radiohead for June 13th at Madison Square Garden. One of them's in the pit. I'm psyched.

I remember sitting up for 5 hours trying to get tickets off the W.A.S.T.E pre-sale and failing miserably. I tried again on the actual sale, but they went in a minute.
