Skiing does look fun, but i'd rather snowboard.

I used to be able to kickflip on a skateboard, but then all of a sudden i lost it.

oliv_da_skinmasher 04-12-2006 01:00 PM

i used to ride BMX it was sweet

fishbulb 04-12-2006 01:24 PM

Oh yeah, almost forgot. I took a ski pole to the face. My friend tried to pull a tobagon (forgot how to spell it) up a small hill with a ski pole. I was behind him, the pole slipped and hit my lip against my braces. Hurt like a bitch, but i didn't want to get mad at him because he didn't mean to and if you did it to somebody youw ouuldln't want him to be mad at you.

milkmit 04-12-2006 02:04 PM

ohh, I used to skate back in the day when I wasn't the old man I am now.... double 360 flips, big backside 180s, backside heelflip varials (hard!), and all that fun stuff....

I still ride my board to get around sometimes....cause it's cheaper and less pollutant than a car. and more fun, of course. :)

and I've skied & snowboarded. the latter is much more fun than the former, IMHO..

Snarz 04-12-2006 02:16 PM

Ya.I like skiing and snowboarding but I prefer snowboarding becasue I have been doing it since I was like 8.I used to skateboard but then didn't for very long but now one of the towns that I live near by are building a new skatepark so I will likely get back into it again.

White 04-12-2006 02:26 PM

Ya I used to Snowboard. I do some now, But I still got it haha. and I used to skateboard, until I broke my leg in 7 places not including cracks, in september havn;t touched the board since

I hate that crap! when I was a wee li'l lad, we were always getting harrassed for skating in the streets.. people would destroy our ramps overnight and such.. but now there's skateparks going up all around NYC! NY freaking C!! that stuff was unheard of back in the day.. the parks department even build a new one last summer right near my 'hood.. gah!

The Ska Man 04-12-2006 03:09 PM

back in what day?

skate parks were huge in the late '70s, but us '80s kids didnt care for that stuff and it died out real fast.
Yeah they are pretty good...
Haha I thought you would say that. ;)
I just downloaded there song Trains. Is all there stuff like that?
Great song, but no. When you have released THAT many albums you cant repeat yourself or you lose your fanbase.

They have some Metal riffs, ambient songs, pop songs etc. Really great band.

Berk 04-12-2006 03:42 PM

*Downloads more stuff*

Zildjian 04-12-2006 03:49 PM

Time 04-12-2006 03:50 PM

What is up with the prices on that Sonor SQ2 Drum Configurator? It says my bass costs $288,000.

Berk 04-12-2006 03:51 PM

well, back in *my* day.. :) I started skating in the late 80s, when skateboarding was in a lull.. I remember people predicting that it was going to explode again, and wow.....did it ever!
as far as I know, NYC was never home to many skateparks; not like southern california, anyway. it's just a bit of a bummer growing up wishing more than anything that there was a place to skate...

VTDS_xx 04-12-2006 04:16 PM

Lazarus and Shallow are two newer songs by them.
Really great.

Answer: It doesn't matter.

/standard response

As far as I can remember, they're a bit lighter, being mostly hollow and all.

spirit 04-12-2006 04:31 PM

I really didn't want to know how much my ideal Sonor SQ2 kit was gonna cost, but oh no, I had to give the Kit Configurator a whirl, didn't I? And now look what I've done. My ideal kit is going to cost £3665.93 ($6,414.16).

Go with a delite if your getting a sonor. Unless you NEED a custom color or veneer. You will be more than happy.

milkmit 04-12-2006 04:43 PM

soooo... you bike freaks, would $150 USD be an ok price for this used cannondale m400?

I asked what sort of damage/wear there might be, and the guy wrote me back saying that the crankshaft could use an adjustment and/or repacking.
he mentioned nothing else -- except that not all of the parts are stock -- and invited me to stop by the check it out.

anyone?

The earth finish with gold hardware is enough for me to consider buying an SQ2 set.

It's just so damn sexy.

Berk 04-12-2006 04:57 PM

Anything with gold hardware owns.

Corkofski 04-12-2006 04:58 PM

moral debate: is it wrong for me to put a cymbal on ebay for twice the price i got it for, due to the fact its made by pearl, who are a major company and is a "pro" cymbal?

or, should i give it to my mate?

Berk 04-12-2006 05:07 PM

I REALLY doubt your gonna get it for more than you payed for it.
Give it to your mate.
What type ofset do you play?

milkmit 04-12-2006 05:09 PM

I'm sure most will disagree, but I'm all for the bleeding heart hippie route: give it to your friend. if he is in so great a need for a cymbal that you're willing to give him a pearl, then methinks the satisfaction he'll get out of it will be much greater than that which you'd get by ripping some noob off.

...but that's just me.. ;)

Berk 04-12-2006 05:10 PM

Cant always rip the n00bs.
