They are not the most perfect. They may be the best, but most perfect? There are bands that're closer to perfect. (IMO)

pigonthewing82 02-28-2005 05:06 PM

Yea I won't defend that, it was a bold statment. I just well I've only been getting into them since December so their greatness is really sinking in.

Illmatic 02-28-2005 05:07 PM

The Beatles: Not even the best artist of their era/10

pigonthewing82 02-28-2005 05:10 PM

See I used to think that way, but I mean there are very few bands that escaped their influence in some way.

Illmatic 02-28-2005 05:12 PM

But they made better music.
The Beatles: Not even the best artist of their era/10
I agree.

pigonthewing82 02-28-2005 05:15 PM

Just an opinion, I might change my mind, but I don't know its just how I feel.

Broken Arrow 02-28-2005 05:38 PM

For me right now The Stones>the Beatles

Lately I've been listening to alot of Neil. I took a little break but now I'm right back in to him. Especially Down By The River and Cowgirl in the Sand.

I think The Who>Beatles.

Lately I've been listening to a lot of Willy and the Poor Boys.

I was listening to that song last night and all of a sudden I just got really happy.

Broken Arrow 02-28-2005 05:45 PM

Yeah, it is a happy song. I was listening to the Animals today. They're awesome.

Badmoon 02-28-2005 05:46 PM

To most, The Beatles are the greatest band ever, of course. I wouldn't necessarily go against that, but I prefer other bands.

MalcolmYoungRock 02-28-2005 05:47 PM

So, my friend just let me borrow his huge cd collection... :D

This makes me very happy.

Does anyone know any sites that I can... *cough* BORROW *cough* music?? The site is a bunch of shortcuts. :(

Aslong as that Ok was done in a voice like Lil Jon's then I'm happy with it.

At the Gov't Mule concert they did a cover of a Neil Young song, "Cortez the Killer" I have never heard it so I didn't know some guy behind me told me.
The Mule version rocked so I'm sure Neil's is pretty good.

Musically, George.

Lyrically, John.

John + Paul > George.
Aw I just found out B.B. King is coming to London but I can't go.:(

My cousin is though.

Props to Badmoon for the Franklin's Tower reference in his usertitle.
I think George > Paul lyrically

John > George > Paul

But I was speaking musically, George is better.

Badmoon 02-28-2005 06:18 PM

Nah, Paul was a better writer. IMo of course.

I thought he was too...

:(

Jam2Me 02-28-2005 06:19 PM

I jsut thought that based on the latter lyrics of both careers, I'm not much of a Beatles buff although I'm retty sure Paul wrote most Bealtes lyrics? (With John aye)

Uh, Ummm , well.

Naw, I am Canadian. London is a relitively big city in Southern Ont. that I live about 2hrs. away from. Rock and Roll lives there.

Yeah, John and Paul were the main songwriters.

George wrote about 2-3 songs per album.

Ringo usually didn't write any or maybe one.
