Watching English comedy is the equivalent of being trapped in a car with your obnoxious little brother making irritating sounds with his mouth on an 8 hour road trip.

American comedy is in a pretty sad state too, but there's some funny stuff out there if you look beyond the sitcoms.

Namely I couldn't tell you, I'm just speaking from the culmination of different bits I've seen of British television. And maybe sitcoms are the only thing that make it over to the UK, but no, that's not the only thing America has.

Well I haven't lived in England in 4 years but in general english comedy is so much better than american.

America probably has the best non-comedy shows.

Actually, American TV is pretty much crap altogether. I cringe at turning on the TV unless its adult swim, comedy central, or discover/national geographic/etc.

Well, Australia has only got crappy soap operas and skit-shows with the same/similar jokes.
