those times were all for this saturday correct?

you just check the main site, or does the TOoL site have a link?
yeah, they're all for this saturday. just search for Tool on ticketmaster and most dates will come out.
Yeah, I guess I'm just going to have to keep my fingers crossed. Strangely enough, what Blair is saying seems to be completely accurate for every show except the Toronto show. Every city has the tickets going on sale Saturday morning, according to ticketmaster, but the Toronto show has that Wednesday presale and then public ticket release on Friday.
Hey, I just found this over at the spiral boards and thought i'd post this here seeing as how you were questioning the whole pre-sale thing.
Q:anyone know what the TOOL "Circle of Friends" internet presale is???
this is diplayed on http://www.ticketmaster.ca/event/10...1&minorcatid=60
Circle of Friends
Start:Wed, 04/19/06 10:00 AM EDT
End:Thu, 04/20/06 11:59 PM EDT

A:Circle of Friends is the name of the membership "club" for the Hummingbird Centre. It is exclusive to the venue, and allows members added benefits (including presales) to all Hummingbird Centre events.

However the Circle of Friends is a poorly organized borderline scam.

A friend purchased the $60 membership on Monday after being told by at least 2 people including the Circle of Friends co-ordinator (after talking to 2-3 idiots who apparently knew no basic info about the membership) that he would be given the password today for Wednesdays presale.

We found out today it was a lie, and that the presale password would not be given to him for at least a week.

Then he was told he could do the presale, but only by phone using his membership information.

It's a cash grab for the venue, since most Tool fans are not so likely to utilize the membership throughout the rest of the year, as the venue is mostly home to the ballet, and other events such as Dora the Explorer Live. It's like having to pay for the Spiral, but paying twice as much, and getting no benefits beyond ONE presale.
circlethedrain 04-18-2006 01:08 PM

Hey, does anyone know who TOOL are going to be touring with?

I hope it isn't Messugah again.

Also, does anyone have any backing tracks that have bass and drums for any TOOL songs?

EinzingerIsGod 04-18-2006 01:20 PM

So I just checked ticketmaster for the date of the Boston show that was posted yesterday on toolband.com. The price says $55 and that is a bit steep for me right now. After they go to Europe they will be touring the US again right? Should I risk them not playing near here after Europe or should I suck it up and go for the May 21 show?

circlethedrain 04-18-2006 01:29 PM

might as well just go for it, who knows if TOOL will ever tour again.

MidnightRider 04-18-2006 02:08 PM

Could someone possibly hit me up with the new single?
Ah, wow....thanks for sharing.

Dude, Maynard wrote a song about his mom.....that is SO emo!!

Thank God you were only kiding. I'm pretty sure that the last song he wrote about his mom was "Judith", and that song fucking rules.

You're being sarcastic, right?

Duncster 04-18-2006 03:03 PM

That song does fucking rule

bwnstl 04-18-2006 03:07 PM

No, he said it was about his mom.

And I don't really like it, it's one of my least favorite on Mer De Noms.
You're being sarcastic, right?
Um...no. Why don't you like it? And why don't you think it's about his mom? It seems pretty obvious to me.

Duncster 04-18-2006 03:10 PM
No, he said it was about his mom.

Yes it is about his mom.

bwnstl 04-18-2006 03:17 PM

Have both of you even seen the lyrics? Are we even talking about the same song? Judith is obviously about blind religious faith. I honestly don't see how you could think any different.

incubliss 04-18-2006 03:22 PM

The new Tool album has leaked.

bwnstl 04-18-2006 03:26 PM

Indeed.

incubliss 04-18-2006 03:27 PM

But I don't know where. Probably on Oink.

bwnstl 04-18-2006 03:28 PM

Yeah, that was where.

Is that bjork in your avatar?

Prince of Darkness 04-18-2006 03:28 PM
The new Tool album has leaked.
Yes. It is.

I like APC some. Their very inconsistent though. There's a few good songs and then the rest are just "ehh".

Prince of Darkness 04-18-2006 03:35 PM

how does OiNK work?

Shadius 04-18-2006 03:35 PM

Judith was actually based around his mothers passing, from what I've read, but yes, it's also about blind religious faith.

BlindWriting 04-18-2006 03:41 PM

The story behind "Judith":

Maynard's mom, Judith Marie Keenan, was paralyzed for about twenty-seven years before she eventually died. The whole time, her faith in religion and God was intact while Maynard watched her basically waste away. The song expresses his anger towards the blind devotion toward religion that his mother showed.

"F*ck your god
Your Lord, Your Christ
He did this
Took all you had and
Left you this way
Still you prayed, never straying..."

So it's basically both.

Syncratic 04-18-2006 03:46 PM

The album may actually have leaked. Toolnavy's server's too busy for my lurking, and the last time that happened was when 'Vicarious' leaked.

incubliss 04-18-2006 03:47 PM

Yeah it's on oink.me.uk right now, I just got an invite from my friend.

Well, the download has actually finished, but I really don't want to open it! I know it's legit, aswell.

incubliss 04-18-2006 03:48 PM
Yeah, that was where.

Yeah it is.

Can you send the album to me please. :) I would really appreciate it.

I'm breaking my oath right now....

Here's my email: Txus.mx@gmail.com

BlindWriting 04-18-2006 03:51 PM

I stand by my choice to avoid the leaked album. As hard as it will be, I'm going to wait until May 2nd.

JamJar 04-18-2006 03:53 PM

Don't download it fools. You'll ruin the major experience of hearing the new album. You've waited about 5 years, you can wait another 12 days or so

incubliss 04-18-2006 03:55 PM

Uhhhm, how about I send one song out? Instead of the whole album, just one more song for those out there who still want to have the 'experience', but are dying to hear another song?

I can't give the link to the oink torrent, it's not allowed.

Kage 04-18-2006 03:56 PM

Perfectly said.

incubliss 04-18-2006 03:57 PM

Or, I could give a 10 second teaser from each song? A song?
