|
You don't write a lot of your own music do you? I can guarantee you that writing your own song is a lot harder than just taking an already written song and adding some stuff to it in the studio.
I've done both, and I can't say one is more difficult than the other. |
Did Derek and the Dominos do any other good cds besides Layla and other assorted love songs? I don't know I got into them last week.
The driver could hardly refuse, so Michael settled behind the wheel, and the chauffeur climbed into the back. Excited by this new experience, Michael started to accelerate until the limo was topping 100 m.p.h., at this point he saw the flashing lights of a state trooper`s vehicle in his rear-view mirrors and dutifully pulled over. The trooper looked at Michael and stepped back, "Excuse me Sir," he said, "I`d better call this one in". The trooper radio`d headquarters: "Listen Chief, I`ve just pulled over a really important person and I`m not sure what to do." "Who is it ?" asked his chief, "not the State Governor again ?". Hey, if anyone here likes The Rolling Stones, Brian Jones would have been 63 today.
/useless random fact |
Do you guys think Joe Satriani would be better with a lead singer? I mean don't get me wrong I love the all instrumentals I think it was cool and he pulled it off well, but do you think it would be better with vocals.

Listening to my G3 cd, he doesn't have a bad voice. He could sing for himself if he wanted to. But I like his instrumentals, I don't really think they need vocals. |

Just by listening to Black Dog I'd say it's in either the A or E minor pent (with some blues notes thrown in).
I suppose I could just look at a tab and figure it out...just a sec. HAPPY BIRTHDAY BRIAN JONES!!! (and rep to Canadian Guy for telling me) edit- as for Black Dog, it appears to switch around between major and minor pents, I'd assume it's in A but it could also be E...it doesn't seem to have a set key, it just switches around between scales in A and E. |
Brain Jones doesn't get mentioned in this thread enough.
...........Song of the Day................ ----------------------------------- "Wasn't Born to Follow" by The Byrds |
I think Black Dog is just in A minor. Zeppelin isn't the type of band that switches the entire key often.
|
Aw I just found out B.B. King is coming to London but I can't go.:(
My cousin is though. Props to Badmoon for the Franklin's Tower reference in his usertitle. |

Do mandolin have 4 or 8 strings?
JPJ? You can do better than that. |
Queen rules! They are (in my opinion) the best band. I also love Led Zeppelin.
|
You know not to suggest somthing that has been said thousands of times, but I think the Beatles are the best band of all time. They were just the most perfect band that ever existed. (but those other bands are good too this is just my opinion)
