Im more comfortable screaming than singing. But i wouldnt have a problem doing a bit of singing if it was my entire band playing behind me.

I would imagine. And (not to sound conceided) but I have a good scream. I'm an alright singer. I just need to build more confidence really.

singing is harder to do. I played with an acoustic band, and man that was the most terrified i have EVER been and i am usually really comfortable playing live

Its more comfortable screaming because you cant really go out of key and if you forget the words, most people wont understand you anyways.

My friends mom always has tons of food at their house and everyone makes me eat. They seriously order 2 pizzas, hoagies, and breadsticks and kill it all at once.

I'd shat myself. :amaze:
My main problem is choosing songs that I feel comfortable singing with really.

It's the tabit thing I've gotten the most compliments for.

thisis sceneSUICIDE 07-28-2005 10:06 PM

I've never had too much of a problem singing in front of people...

The only time I've really been SUPER nervous was when our "a capella" trio won gold at an LTC convention. Meaning, we had to sing our 3 songs...In front of 6000 people.

I almost cried.

The only band I've found I could sing without sounding really off is Zebrahead.

My hopes of an acoustic band are slim.

hey, you're not cory! 07-28-2005 10:08 PM

I don't think I'd be too nervous once I got used to it. Its just getting passed the initial first few times that I'll have a problem.

I hope anyways.

RissaPoodle 07-28-2005 10:08 PM

I have a MAJOR problem with singing in front of people.

Unless I get to like act it out... like a musical or something. I can do that.

But like... for choir. Blah. That's scary stuff.

Well, how'd you do?

Acapella is really cool.

I'm not worried about sounding exactly like it really, just something thats faster and heavier but not like really fast or heavy.

"Streaks in the Sky" by Thursday is my ideal song.

thisis sceneSUICIDE 07-28-2005 10:10 PM

We did better than the performance that won the gold. :thumb:

A capella is fuuuuuun. We had a group for fun to kill time during practices, we'd record ourselves using the sound system. It was so cool. Haha.

Rissa was Dorothy! I've only done two musicals. HONK! and Carnival. But man, I'd love to do more.

Excursions 07-28-2005 10:10 PM

Im not apresiated enough here.

One thing that's really fun:

Power metal singing.

I did this with my friends at lunch one time. I can go really falsetto, so, in the highest voice I could while still sounding coherert, I started singing about dragons and the mighty crystal of the Earth Warriors.

Everyone laughed, and everyone got comfertable with me singing. It was fun.

It helps that most of my friends play an instrument, though, and are used to being performed for.
