Or it's the other way around? Dave wrote The Mechanix before joining Metallica (Well he had the lyrics for it I believe), Metallica helped him fix it up, and James and Lars worked on their version of his song, ultimately Dave got kicked out and Metallica released The Four Horsemen, Dave released The Mechanix.

Lyrical content and musical content The Four Horsemen > The Mechanix.

Dude, I just had a listen. Hanger 18 and The call of Ktulu do have the same riff progression. It's just that Hanger is faster and distorted. And whoever said that FFF and Motorbreath sounded similar. Thet are. By the way i'm new. :evil:

That has something to do with drum microphones. If he wanted to play softer he would tur them down a bit but obviously not. It's never bothered me.

I dont know wtf your talkin about. The drums in One are fukkin good, and it's not his fault for hitting the drums to hard. It's more about the way metallica recorded the song and put it together than it is about Lars "hitting the drums so bloody hard"
