son lux isnt much better!
In fact it's worse!

cb: Built to Spill and Kozelek are both worth seeing.

iamrockzorz 09-09-2008 09:24 AM

i'll probably be at maps and atlases, sunset rubdown, fleet foxes...

where are the good hardcore venues around here? black cat and 930 only play a lot of indie and hip-hop.

cobert 09-09-2008 10:22 AM

Gnarls Barkley does a Radiohead cover.

whiteminority 09-09-2008 10:23 AM

iamrockzorz 09-10-2008 06:01 PM

yo, whats the delio with downloading music on college campuses. theres no cd shops around here besides f.y.e. :(.. is mediafire and rapidshare **** still cool? What do they attack...? like.. torrents and p2p ****?

also... if its not under production of the riaa, is it likely to be a problem?

santi3hg 09-10-2008 06:43 PM

use mediafire...etc...music blogs are going to be your friends.

santi3hg 09-10-2008 07:00 PM

Oh and if a label isn't represented by RIAA, then that album you dl won't likely get you in trouble but there is a smaller group that represents independent labels, but it isnt such a big threat.

iamrockzorz 09-10-2008 07:32 PM

so music blogs i should be safe with?

santi3hg 09-10-2008 07:45 PM

Yeah, and plus me and chris send each other **** over aim too.

iamrockzorz 09-10-2008 07:54 PM

well you could add me to that loop ;)

cbmartinez 09-10-2008 11:13 PM

yah ive heard of people hear getting nailed with slsk or kazaa because the university can see the extra bandwidth youre using or some ****. i use rapidshare, etc. and send music via AIM, torrents are cool too

Apocalyptic Raids 09-11-2008 01:56 AM
yeah im really pumped to see Kozelek, I'm ashamed to say I don't know too much Built To Spill, I've only really heard their newest one
definitely look into Perfect From Now On.

br3ad_man 09-11-2008 03:19 AM

Kozelek was pretty unreal when I saw him, but it was almost ruined by me sitting on the floor and being really sore the whole way through the set. After a while you run out of bones to sit on.

Built to Spill's new album is ok but get Perfect From Now On and then Keep it Like a Secret and There's Nothing Wrong With Love. Their live show is great, especially if you like long jams and really loud guitars.

sgrevs 09-11-2008 07:03 AM

When I saw BtS in December they seemed kinda bored and out of it. I dno I was a bit disappointed.

Iluvatar 09-11-2008 10:56 PM

All I have is that one EP that conglomerated link archive had something in the desert.
