To the guy above me: Wait for Brew. He knows Sabbath/Ozzy like no one else.
Or ask in Rock And Metal, they're bound to know. |
Christ erm...Glen Hughes.
7th Star album.
Thanks. That song sucks |
^Yeh, it is pretty bad.
But seeing as its not from an Official Black Sabbath album its alright I s'pose. |
I avoid all sabbath apart from ozzy or dio albums.

Ouch, try busking. You play bass rite.
Update on my gig:
Well, after some technicals problems delaying the soundcheck by over 2 hours, we got only four minutes to run one song. This meant we didn't get our sound as exactly worked out as we like, and the guitar was probably a bit too fuzzy for my liking. Oddly, the EQ on the microphone's was different going out, as to the loopback, meaning I was hearing myself back differently to how it was being played to the audience. Due to bomb scares in London today, our bassist (Tom) was very delayed arriving. After planning to arrive at around six, he didn't get in until five minutes before we were meant to go on stage. We opened with Catch Up. The first verse was hit with problems as we found there was no bass. We had to wait for an engineer to sort this out, until we could just play. I got the timing all wrong on the solo, as usual. People were calling out for Little Brother Song, so I announced the next song as ICFFYFTYFC and played a nice, quick version. Tom did his bass solo very nicely. Due to the short soundcheck, I hadn't got used to the way the drums sounded yet, so picking out the snare was a strain, leading to some interesting timings throughout the gig. The song went down well, though. We moved on to a new song: Purgatory's Angel. This was generally cheered, although I'm not sure how much the crowd understood the jazz interlude/metal outro. Well, we kicked butt with the song either way, so who cares? At this point, we swapped bassists over, and Gemma took over for a song: a cover of Blink 182's Easy Target. This may have been the highlight of the show, as the timing was nice and tight. The final song finally bowed to the chants which were getting loud by now, and we played Little Brother Song. This was another highlight for me. I'm not sure of how in I was in: making out the symbol hits and the snare hits was hard in the environment, and I mostly listened to Tom for cues as to where I was in the song. The solo section was very good, Tom was brilliant in his bass solo. Even now, however, I have no idea how we all come back into the chorus seemingly spontaneously: I couldn't hear Chris's fill to return us to the chorus. Overall, it was a very good night. We stole the show, in my opinion, and got excellent feedback from everyone. The headliners didn't get nearly as much support and I was very pleased.
Wow! The gig organiser/headliners bassists dad saw this review (which I posted on my bands website) and went completely apeshit at me. Anyway, the headteacher at my school (which hosted it) has now got involved, and if he persists the police are going to get it. I love the fact that the guy said:
You monkey faced cunt. I'm going to report you to the school and send them a full copy of this.
|
Why?

Wow, he sounds like a retard.
And if he's reading this: Fuck you, retard. |
He's annoyed I said I stole the show, and that I said I was pleased with the performance and that I didn't explicitly mention the Tsunami Appeal ("this isn't about you being pleased, it's about thousands of people dying").
He also tells me I was rude to everyone there, and got in everyone's way, which was odd, as I spent most of the time in the foyer waiting to be told I could soundcheck. Anyway, the school are taking up a case against him for threatening and abusive behaviour (I sent them a full copy of everything he said to me, and everything I said back. This includes him threatening to beat me up) and for nicking loads of their leads, and power cables. |

Is he so insecure he can't even let a teenager write a positive review about how his bands gig went? |
