sorry-g'n'r and mastodon are both goooood.

today i listened to
rhp-ocean beach
the national-boxer

RedMorningLight 04-25-2007 04:02 PM

Been listening to a load of Biffy Clyro and Weezer today. "My Recovery Injection" is such a sick song and I love playing the bass line. I downloaded Alligator off one of the mailing lists a couple weeks back but haven't really got into it, is Boxer more acccesible?

plastic 04-25-2007 04:06 PM

you dont think alligator is accessible? and no boxer isnt more accessible. its more chilled out and shit. so if you prefer that.....

RedMorningLight 04-25-2007 04:10 PM

Okay, fair deuz...I guess i'm just not really enjoying it. Bit of a shame as they seem to get alot of love.

plastic 04-25-2007 04:19 PM

theyre amazing. give em another shot maybe. they might grow on you

How is this group? The most I've seen/heard from them is simply from their appearance on the Lightning Bolt DVD. The costuming works well for them at least.

Slaapkamers 04-25-2007 07:49 PM

They're good.

Not exactly like Lightning Bolt though. Not as hyperactive and all over the place and don't have that campy/cartoonish feel, but they're fun and noisy. Kind of like Arab on Radar but not really.

or something.

I think the Halo Benders are the grooviest band ever.

asymm 04-25-2007 11:33 PM

Since I'll be witnessing them at the Pitchfork music festival, decided to try out Fujiya & Miyagi. It's pretty damned ho-hum, unfortunately. A few nice tracks here and there, though.

Not bad at all, read a few pretty scathing reviews, but I think it just caught them a little off-guard is all. Pretty excellent moments for sure, check it out if you're into improv, noisy shit.
