Nobody specifically. I've just seen plenty of bands get bashed for it over the years. But drop C feels so different and sounds much heavier. I love it so much right now. :p

Uhuh, if you dont really know what your doing find someone that does and say you want it set up for drop-C. Mines set up for Drop D#, so I can go either way without laming anything.

Its like this, the tension from the strings is pulling the neck one way, the truss rod is counteracting it. In lower tunings theres less tension coming from the strings so you need to adjust the truss so that the neck doesnt warp over time.
