That's not possible, but they probably did a good job although I havent heard it.
I've heard it, it wasn't as good. That's kind of an exaggeration.

You must worship blink 182 and hail Tom delonge as the most technically advanced guitarist in the world  Get The Fuck out of here.

You said it. People like this dont belong on this site and they dont deserve to post about, or listen to metallica, possibly the greatest metal band to ever record music.
Dark Angel did Creepig Death as better than Metallica.
I think if Eric Meyer could have been bothered to play the solo right and if the bass was slightly higher in the mix, I would agree with you. Its still a very worthy cover

exup 08-11-2005 10:55 AM

check deep purple - highway star @ 2.15
AND Metallica - Ride the lightning @ 2.10

same stuff :/

PepsiMetal 08-11-2005 10:59 AM

How long is it same a couple of seconds? lmao, out of billions of songs done on a guitar, you're bound to have some similarities in songs.

fatbandit 08-11-2005 11:03 AM

Yeah, like I noticed a Meagdeth riff sounded very similar to a Metallica one recently, but I think its more than likely a coincidence. Many songs sound the same :/

Jev 08-11-2005 11:13 AM

FFF by Megadeth sounds quite a bit like Motorbreath.

fatbandit 08-11-2005 11:24 AM

I was thinking of a riff off of RIP, but I can't remember what riff or what song

Dave was probobly out of riffs so he was just like "eh, what the hell ill just steal a 'tallica riff, i mean didnt they steal mechanix?"

fatbandit 08-11-2005 11:36 AM

I think he has too much pride to steal a riff off of Metallica. I always get the impression that he never liked anything Metallica wrote, why would he steal a riff?

If it's Hangar 18 Dave wrote that riff anyway.
I'm not sure if there's any others but apprently Dawn Patrol sounds like the bass riff in My Friend of Misery. But it was written before the Black Album even came out.

Jev 08-11-2005 11:39 AM
Dave was probobly out of riffs so he was just like "eh, what the hell ill just steal a 'tallica riff, i mean didnt they steal mechanix?"
No he wrote The Mechanix so he had the right to use it as his own song.

fatbandit 08-11-2005 12:03 PM

Of 1 Blood meant that differently to how you interpreted it methinks.

Well, Hangar 18 doesn't actually share the same riff, just has the same chord progression methinks.

And no, Dawn Patrol doesn't sound like MFOM. Its bass centred, yes. That's it.

Of 1 Blood 08-11-2005 12:05 PM

Hangar 18 doesnt sound like Motorbreath. Plus I can play both and they are nothing like the other.

Jev 08-11-2005 12:06 PM

I didn't say Hangar 18 sounds like Motorbreath, FFF does.

fatbandit 08-11-2005 12:20 PM

Hangar 18 is written with the same riffs/progression as Call of Ktulu, as it happens.

Oh  thats why I was kinda confused. FFF? Whats FFF?
Hangar 18 is written with the same riffs/progression as Call of Ktulu, as it happens.

(GWAR pwns)

IMMORTAL!

Jev 08-11-2005 12:23 PM

FFF is a Megadeth song on one of their later albums. It's about 3 minutes long and it stands for Fight For Freedom.

fatbandit 08-11-2005 12:25 PM

Dude, because its Hammertime?

And no, GWAR... don't... rule...

Jev 08-11-2005 12:30 PM

fatbandit 08-11-2005 12:34 PM

Alotta songs sound the same when we the "Power Chord"

fatbandit 08-11-2005 12:43 PM

The power chord can create a lot of variety to be fair. I found a lot of Justice to sound very similar, I have to say though.
