They never sold out, they got a decent yet horrible record deal after one album and went with it. Most of the publicity from Full Collapse was without their consent, like releasing Understanding In A Car Crash as a single for example.

In fact they even screwed Victory Records and their deal with them when they released the 5 Stories Falling EP. They told everyone to never buy it and just download Jet Black New Year.

Aaand Geoff has held so many epic shows in his basement, and has helped so many small bands get on great tours. I mean, come on, You And I's last show was in his basement.

I don't like their newest album too much, but everything up until and including their split with Envy rules imho. And I mean, just look at that, the band they respected and wanted to do a split with was ****ing Envy.

never seen them apologise. I know Geoff posted a sort of reply on a message board. and I agree that Daïtro came off as quite elitist with their last mail. however I am with Daïtro. and I still think Thursday sold out. they have nothing to do with DIY music anymore. and their music obviously changed to this poppy crapcore stuff as well.

I do acknowledge Geoff's work for the DIY scene outside of Thursday though. he seems like a good guy. at least judging by his posting on vlv, lol.

Eh, Thursday's sound's only really evolved to being more ambient and experimental, not really selling out.
