If it's any help, ghouls were originally an Arabian concept, so if you look through the mythology and superstitions oof Eurasia and the Middle East, you could probably find some really awesome words or phrases.

I like the sound of the Ghoul concept, as they are intertwined with the Undead, ghouls aree not undead themselves, merely cannibals who eat the corpses in Graveyards...

Exactly. The whole concept came about from Arab nomads. Seeing as they had no formal settlements, they were often forced to bury their dead where ever was convenient and leave a grave marker so anyone passing by would know to pay respects.


But occasionally, the nomads would stumble across a dug up grave and badly chewed up bodies. Now, with modern knowledge of how nature works, that's simply a matter of desert wild dogs digging up the bodies and snacking on whatever parts were still digestable. But to ancient nomads, there was only one explanation: there must be some sort of demon that feeds on the flesh of dead humans. Hence, the ghoul.

Im in a power/thrash band...but its more power than thrash.
~For some reason we are auditioning a Death metal vocalist. He is the only one who has applied so far.

My band is heading in a black/death/thrash metal style, we're doing alot of Mayhem, Sepultura, Slayer, Darkthrone, Bathory, Immortal and Misfits (we're doing a 10-song medley of their stuff) covers at the moment, whilst trying to piece some riffs together for our own songs.

We're having problems with our lead guitarist though, he rarely turns upto practise :angry:

the other guitarist beats up the drummer ,his brother, all the time. It gets really fvckin annoying but he gets pissed really easily. Other that that I have no problems with my band.

I'm the oldest in my band (17, 18 in a few months), the drummer and singer are both 15, and the lead guitarist is either 16 or 17, but in the year below me at school.

Thats almost exactly like my band.
We all go to the same school exept our potential singer, who is also the oldest at 18.

me and Titch are both 17 and the others are a year younger...

Sounds kind of like Pittsburgh. The metal scene here is a bunch of middle and high school punks who loiter in malls on weekends wearing Slipknot hoodies and trying (unsuccessfully) to menace people.

I'm 15, our drummer is 14, Rythem guitarist is 16, and basser is the same.

At least you know real musicians. Whenever I meet one here, they fit one of the following stereotypes:

1. MTV kiddie. Thinks Slipknot is brutal death metal or Green Day is tr00 punk rawk.
2. Only holding the guitar in hopes of getting laid.
3. Only wants to play Metallica.
