Paranoidd 08-16-2004 02:35 PM

You'd think members of the Doors wouldn't want acid, after how Jim turned out.

MalcolmYoungRock 08-16-2004 02:36 PM

Jim Morrison is alive man! He's living in my basement off of rats! - Some hobo that was in the park the other day. I was talking to him about classic rock. Then i asked him if he even had a basement. That was one angry hobo.

BludgeonySteve 08-16-2004 02:37 PM

They probably don't do acid. Still... the great are a bunch of money hungry ****s.

I like their music though :)

PinkFloyd 08-16-2004 02:50 PM

wie

Against Miik! 08-16-2004 02:51 PM

I read an article with Kreiger and he said they havn't done acid since the early 70s.

Paranoidd 08-16-2004 03:10 PM

Probably not.

I dunno how they have the balls to tour...Ian Astbury? I mean come on...I like The Cult but he aint Jim Morrison. He isn't even an alcoholic anymore!

BlackDeathMetalJazz or really ANYTHING else please- 08-16-2004 04:28 PM

magicbus 08-16-2004 07:53 PM

Speaking of Ozzy also the solos on Mr. Crowley are pretty impressive. I don't listen to much other though.

BlackDeathMetalJazz or really ANYTHING else please- 08-16-2004 08:09 PM

Blizzard of Oz and Dariy of Madman are great Ozzy albums.

BlackDeathMetalJazz or really ANYTHING else please- 08-16-2004 08:46 PM

BludgeonySteve 08-16-2004 09:55 PM

lunch998 08-16-2004 10:00 PM

Anybody like the Yardbirds? I got one of their collections for pretty cheap and it's pretty good. Plus Clapton is awesome so that helps.(I like the early Yardbirds the best)

BludgeonySteve 08-16-2004 10:01 PM

The yardbirds are great. Amazing guitar work, great songs. I'm thinking of getting into them really seriously.

lunch998 08-16-2004 10:06 PM

Yea lucky for me the "Best Of" that I have is 2 discs with 18 songs apeice, so I don't have to keep buying all their CDs I can find.

Lithium2112 08-16-2004 10:17 PM

how much did that cost you lunch998

Lithium2112 08-16-2004 10:19 PM

Lithium2112 08-16-2004 10:27 PM

i like to pick daisys in the morning

miltonj621 08-16-2004 10:28 PM

Emerson, Lake and Palmer aren't cheesy man! They are just plain talented. Prog rock is probably the best chapter in Classic Rock. It introduced elements of jazz and classical music into the vain of rock and blues and created some of the best music ever. I suggest that people who say they like classic rock listen to Yes' "Fragile," "Close to the Edge" ELP's "Pictures at an Exbidition" and "Taurus" and the Crimson classic "21st century schozoid man." There is just nothing like it.

lunch998 08-16-2004 10:29 PM
how much did that cost you lunch998
I found it on Amazon.com for like 15$US or so. You have to pay shipping, but I waited until my parents ordered something so they paid shipping. It might be in a CD store around you. My local stores that have a huge selection are very overpriced, so I try to order CDs offline.

yea man good point... i hate people that say they like pink floyd/classic rock and dont even know what the **** prog rock is

i havn't really gotten into crimson, i only know about 5 of their songs, ill check my local lp store for that album though :)

miltonj621 08-16-2004 10:35 PM

cool try their stuff from the late 60's and early 70's. Fripp's guitar work is amazing as well as Lake's bass playing. Its like listening to Chicago on acid, which is by the way another great classic rock band that has been left out of the conversation

magicbus 08-17-2004 06:51 AM

I got that double disc thing for $22.

PoWeRsLaVe667 08-17-2004 06:56 AM

My Uncle introduced me too classic rock and classic metal like...

The Doors
Pink Floyd
Jimi Hendrix
Led Zeppelin
Def Leppard
AC/DC
Peter Frampton
Rush
Quiet Riot

...and there all awesome

bobthenamelesswonder 08-17-2004 10:24 AM

I love classic rock. If u listen to modern rock, it's just not the same. My mum introducud me to Queen & the Eagles, but now i'm listening 2 Van Halen a lot. By the way, does any1 else think it's weird that Eddie & co. hated Diver Down 'cos of all the covers on it, but the only 2 tracks from it on the Best of Both Worlds album are covers?

BludgeonySteve 08-17-2004 12:58 PM

I don't find it weird. They hate a lot of stuff. Eddie Van halen is a douche.

PinkFloyd 08-17-2004 01:07 PM

ELP has a wicked drummer.

Against Miik! 08-17-2004 01:08 PM

Would anybody be interested in some pics of my Allman Brothers experience?

Paranoidd 08-17-2004 01:10 PM
