the internet has been accepted as a core part of our culture for well over a decade now, to the point it has infiltrated every part of mainstream media and it's not uncommon to hear its use namedropped in almost every single conversation you will ever have with somebody

social networking sites, particularly those of the dating variety are heavily criticised because they are a flawed medium which has both its advantages and disadvantages. this is never going to change

To an extent, I agree with this. While there is still that stigma on using dating sites, it is an efficient way of finding females/males if you're the kind of person who avoids social activities or don't have the time to join clubs etc etc. I know many people who have met their boyfriends/husbands/girlfriends/wives through the internet and they're pretty happy it seems.

I think with external social activities and the internet there's pros and cons for both.

I've obviously had less social norms influence me, and I don't care. I don't have the desire to be a tool. I'd rather live with my parents when im 35 and never have a significant relationship than work 9-5 every fucking day doing the same shit just so I can have my own place

I'm sure my mindset can and will probably change, I just need the motivation.
