man, when i was in Berkeley i bought City of Caterpillar and Dead Meadow CDs and Slint EP on vinyl at Amoeba and i didn't get any compliments. i've never gotten a compliment while buying music ever even though i out indie pretty much everyone in the record store at any given time.

but it doesn't matter now because they are all closed/closing.
