Me! 06-23-2006 11:39 PM

I must learn how to do this

I'm_Still_Mikee 06-23-2006 11:39 PM

it was pretty raw, we had to drive there, so we hit alot of traffic, so we missed a majority of journey, but, we got to hear like 6 songs, and then def leppard was pretty awesome.

still didn't beat my concert experience with audioslave.

Nihongo_Forever 06-23-2006 11:39 PM

I've had turkey sandwhiches for all three meals today, hence no turkey, as it's getting old.

You're lucky.

Cheese was on all of the sandwhiches too, but onion and tobasco and ketchup and parsley=condiments and really don't fill anyone up.
Mikee:

You saw Audioslave, so **** YOU BITCH.

No really.

They're one of my favorite bands right now.

Morello+Cornell=sex to the ears.

I'm_Still_Mikee 06-23-2006 11:43 PM

haha i love audioslave, best live performance EVER.

playing temple of the dogs, rage against the machine, soundgarden, and then their own stuff. and then a couple odd balls.

when they go back on tour i'm going to every show in the tristate area.

That's hardcore.

But yo, Audioslave goes on tour after next May, I'm going to every show in KY, OH, (Abbreviation for Indiana), IL, MO, TN, VA, WV, AL, MS, FL, SC, NC, and GA.

GuitarSlinger 06-23-2006 11:45 PM

nice lunch you had, ever having turkey again?

Nihongo_Forever 06-23-2006 11:46 PM

Probably for all 3 meals tomorrow.

I'm_Still_Mikee 06-23-2006 11:49 PM

haha cool. i cant wait till hte new album comes out. they'll probably do shows after then.

and i know its going to be good.

Yashnaheen 06-23-2006 11:51 PM

What really sucks about living here (other than most everything), is there is absolutly no one that tours to Alaska..

This year is a little better, Godsmack is going to be in anch soon I think. Too bad I don't like them.

Tool 2 years ago.

bout it.

Abu-Abu 06-23-2006 11:51 PM

NO **** THAT, I JUST TYPED A BIG paragraph thing about my day and it got deleted somehow...i'll retype it after bathroom...

Nihongo_Forever 06-23-2006 11:52 PM

Switch me, my Alaskan neighbor was really hot, I wanna see more Alaskan chicks ftw.

Thonk 06-23-2006 11:52 PM

Any of you into blues?

I'm_Still_Mikee 06-23-2006 11:53 PM

tool sounds like a good show.

and yer alaska is widely spread apart isnt it?

like, cities are farther away from each other?

that would really suck, cause its not like oh yeah well they are just playing in the next city over and we could go there.

Nihongo_Forever 06-23-2006 11:54 PM
Any of you into blues?
Gallagher, Sardinas, Vaughan, the Kings, Bukka, Hurt, Johnsons, Beck, all of em, love the blues.

Thonk 06-23-2006 11:56 PM

yer, recommend me a good/fun song to play.

Or songs. :p

Yashnaheen 06-23-2006 11:56 PM

Yeah, there are 3 'major' cities. Anchorage, Fairbanks and Juneau (small, but its the capital). None of which is a short trip to the next, and you actually have to drive 10 hours through Canada to get to a boat to Juneau by car.

There are plenty of small towns inbetween, but ya know, 3 - 4k people or smaller.

Thonk - I enjoy some good blues. 'Mainstream' stuff tho- Albert King, SRV.

edit - oshi how could I forget Eric Sardinas.

I'm_Still_Mikee 06-23-2006 11:59 PM

what tuning you in for that?

what octave pedal do you use?

Nihongo_Forever 06-24-2006 12:00 AM
yer, recommend me a good/fun song to play.

Lenny - SRV
Red House - Albert King
Coffee Blues - John Hurt
Preachin' Blues - Derek Trucks Band (originally by Johnson)
Since I've Been Lovin' You - Led Zeppelin (very fun)
Hurt - John Mayer (more modern for ya, kinda poppish)
Little Wing - SRV (better than the original IMO)
Bullfrog Blues, Hey Joe(live), Tattoo'd lady, A Million Miles Away - Rory Gallagher
Anything by Sardinas is good for slide.

Miek 06-24-2006 12:00 AM

D standard.
I don't have an octave pedal, is that how it gets so awesome sounding?
I didn't think anyone else here was into CKY.

Thonk 06-24-2006 12:01 AM

Thanks man.

I'll give them a look.

I'm_Still_Mikee 06-24-2006 12:01 AM

yeah they use octave pedals.

i was thinking they use D standard.

they are from right around my area.

Thonk 06-24-2006 12:02 AM

I don't really like them.

They have some pretty neat/fun riffs though. (99 quite bitter things)

Abu-Abu 06-24-2006 12:02 AM

Breakfast: Scrambled Eggs in between two slices of toast, for like a sandwich type thing, pretty bomb.

Lunch: Chicken Strips in sweet and sour sauce, left overs form dinner last night.

Dinner: Cheeseburger.

2/3 homemade (or atleast barbaqued from my freezer) so that makes for a good day of meals. ALso swam for like 4 hours, it's too damn hot not to.

Miek 06-24-2006 12:03 AM

Really?
Them and Bloodhound Gang are awesome

I first saw the CKY dvd series like three years ago.

Nihongo_Forever 06-24-2006 12:04 AM

Oh yeah, I forgot I had some ribs earlier, with homemade barbacue sauce.

A mix of 3 local brands, some stolen from a chain resturaunt, and some Kraft.

Miek 06-24-2006 12:04 AM

Good one Jamie, thats the best kind.

Miek 06-24-2006 12:05 AM

Yep, not as good as CKY in my opinion.

old school bam, Raab and Rake are the best

Abu-Abu 06-24-2006 12:07 AM

So i was searching for GWAR stuff the other day on YouTube, and found the greatest interview evar.

Watch it whether you like Gwar or not.

My very favorite part is the:
"Are there a lot of sexual innuendos (sp?) in your act?"
"There is nothing innuendo about it, there is a 15 foot long growing (or glowing, can't tell still, but either is funny) on the stage that spews digestive fluid everywhere"
and all the stuff on that topic.

Also the part about how they invented music, killed the dinosaurs, his "cuttlefish of c'thulu(sp?)", taking confiscated crack with the police officers, and the part about how it is real blood they spray the crowd with, and how everyone is killed (you'll see what I mean, it's so funny) are all awesome parts.

Well pretty much the whole thing is hilarious.
