ya, its the only one with the old singer/screamer. its way heavyer and i think that it was recorded while they were still at berklee

I'll probably download some tracks to check it out.

It got rereleased didn't it?

And I heard a rumour they were going to redo it with Howard.

thelowsoundofbass 10-16-2005 01:57 PM
Yeah! I can also play guitar and sing (for as far as it goes, background vocals are ok). But with bass, it is way more difficult for me for some reason..

I'm starting a punkband (just for fun and the shows) with me on guitar and then I'll try to sing some more.
deffently do it, punk is so much fun to play. who cares if it isnt technical, just do real punk not the crappy blink 182/simple plan shat

^^Yeah I think so? That's maybe because guitar and singing is easier..

I can talk and drum though! (standard rythm and little variations) I can't wait 'till my dad has finally set up his drumkit he bought :upset:

My guitarist can sing and play drums at the same time. I was really impressed.

I love the interaction with the public. We're going to go into the melodic-punk genre. Simple, with a catchy (simple) tune running through the songs. I come up with weird rythms, so I'll be the rythm guitarist. We've also got ourselves a bassist (who can sing and play, but he doesn't play that good.. but hell! it's punk) and a drummer.

Drummer, guitarist and me are from my other band. The non-punk band is still no. 1 for us though.

I have to try that.. Also one problem is that I can sing with people, but alone? :amaze:

So I will be background all the way :p

background singers are always good, bands sound so much better when there is one

Was killswitch at Berklee, that fancy school?

True! Basically it is just one more instrument added, but then in a better way then adding a guitar. But I still have to practise with bass and singing. The wooohooohoo types can be done by me sometimes, but I need to know the song by heart then.

yes, thats where the two guitarist and the drummer met. they went there and i think that the bass player might have as well. they are a very talented band

Spaceman Spiff 10-16-2005 02:13 PM

Well, I didn't like them either at first, but then I heard "temple from within" it's really one of the best metal-songs I know!

I'd quite like to see the guitarists solo a bit more.

There's a great bit on the new album where theres like an almost solo. And I reckon they'd be even better with some solos.

kilian 10-16-2005 02:19 PM

Well people.. I'm off

Bass_swede 10-16-2005 02:19 PM

It's the bassist who holds everything together in KSE, both musically and with the band in general, layouts and such.

live the really tall guitarist played a tapping solo with his left hand while smoking a joint with his other hand. then he did bong hits with a guy in the crowd and finnished off the show by humping a random guy that he pulled on to the stage while doing a solo. he likes to solo live
