I agree with the review that it works to not compare it to the older releases. I'm still trying to find a copy of the album on soulseek, so I don't have a complete say on the album yet, but I've heard about half of the songs.

After a few listens, I've decided the album is.... [i]ok[/i]. With the exception of Stop and Animal, it's not miserable.

White People for Peace and Borne on the FM waves are decent songs, at least.

I think Ocean is a good song.

The more I listen to the new album, the more I like it. I haven't listened to SFAFC in forever, but from what I remember, I like this one way more. The first like...5 songs or so are getting to the point where I think they're pretty good. After that it is meh, but not terrible.

I'm right in to Thrash Unreal, and surprisingly, considering how much radio play it gets, White People... hasn't got annoying like some of the SFAFC songs that got the same amount of radio time.

Still haven't listened to this but a friend told me it sucked at first then it came out as a pretty neat album.

I saw Against Me! play on one of the late night shows before. It was lame. All they did was play the "Condoleezza" song, and I think they started playing "Don't Lose Touch" as the show ended.

I think that was jimmy kimmel some time last year.

Oh yeah, Jimmy Kimmel is what it was. It was pretty recently. I'd say no more than like four or five months ago.

The album's pretty decent. It's not like old Against Me!. As far as I can tell, nothing they produce anymore will be. A lot of people aren't going to like that. If they keep making music that's pretty cool, I'll listen to it. When it gets downright awful, I'll put on older albums. The biggest thing I can't understand is people disowning the band. Just because the last two albums have been drastically different, it doesn't mean every single recording before that wasn't awesome.

For me it's kind of right now I'm burned out on old Against Me! and just not interested in the new stuff. So temporarily, I'm not really listening to them.

ehh, listening to it now on myspace, I don't like it as much as I wanted to, but its decent. White People for Peace is a good song, but for only ten songs there isn't enough standout tracks to me. Hopefully it will grow on me.

Ordered New Wave yesterday to get the 7", which I imagine will be difficult to get ahold of otherwise. After listening to the album a couple times, it really isn't that bad. Obviously, compared to RAR or w/e, it's nothing, but it's an okay record.

I'm sort of surprised to see people turning around and saying positive things about this album. I think it's laughably, irredeemably bad.
