was gonna buy scott pilgrim graphic novel but i was like nah thats gay

it's somewhat gay but also is pretty cool in some parts. i absolutely hated the movie but the comics were fairly good but had annoying attributes for sure. movie is abysmal

whenever i watch comic movies i get irritated if it's a series that i read and like that they butcher.

tmnt 1st movie was a lot better than the animated series but was way too silly. they did try to make it like the mirage comics and got a little of it right i'll give them that, but i can't watch the movie without getting irritated.

spider-man 1 was good but i had some issues with it. they should have used gwen instead of mary jane and actually have the green goblin kill her because the issues they were basing the ending of it on, #121 and 122, had gwen's death as a major plot point. movie was basically amazing fantasy #15 (spider-man origin story) a heavy condensed and altered version of early green goblin/early peter in college stories and then #121 and 122 for the end. basically, in #121 gobby takes gwen (peter's gf) up to the george washington bridge and pushes her off. spidey tries to catch her with a line of webbing but the whiplash from him shooting a webline to head breaks her neck. spider-man flies into a rage and beats gobby to the brink of death, norman begs peter to spare him and then tries to use his goblin glider to impale him. spider man jumps and the goblin gets impaled. then marvel decided to bring him back 20 years later

i read watchmen when i was a freshman in high school and thought it was great. i re-read it when the movie came out and realized that it's not nearly as great as people make it out to be. sure it had a huge influence on comics and made them more "dark and edgy" but "the dark knight returns" came out the same year and is a whole hell of a lot better and had the same influence. and the movie sucked dick

the dark knight was good. it really irritated me how people always said "the joker has never been this dark before" yeah he has, read the dark knight returns or the killing joke.
