That pretty much sucked ***, i couldn't hear the vocals at all, and what i did hear sucked James's cock. The drums and guitar weren't that bad but the vocals ruin it

metalkingtiger 08-09-2005 06:56 PM

Hey any of you guys hear anything wheter or not Metallica are making another album right now or something?

FlyingPaul_83 08-09-2005 06:58 PM

They are going to record a new album, but I don't know if they are recording now. I don't think they are.

What band? Napalm Death or Dream Theater,Damage inc was :
Dream Theater-Labrie + The singer from Napalm Death, wich is better than Labrie(in heavier ranges).

Father_Jack 08-10-2005 10:20 AM

On the subject of the DT damage inc cover, yes the vocals sucked balls but the rest was kinda ok. Which got me thinking about metallica cover stuff, has anyone ever downloaded or bought on of those Tribute to Metallica CDs? I always see them but think it will be a waste of like £13. Anyone ever heard anything off these type of CDs??

Yeah, on ITunes music store they have a "hip hop" tribute album, and one called "metalliclash - a tribute to metallica", which is some kind of bullshlt techno cover album. They both suck miserably and are insults to Metallica.
There is a pretty good one though called Metallica the ultimate tribute album

Oh no, i would never buy the sh!te techo covers, but there are a few cover CDs that are a variety of metal bands covering metallica songs, but i still always thought they would suck pretty bad.

Have you ever listened to it? it sounds like complete shit why would you want to listen to hip hop and techno covers of metal songs. It's not just becuase they're hip hop and techno, it's because they're versions of metal songs that aren't meant to be hip hop or techno

the one called Metallica - The Ultimate Tribute Album did sound pretty sweet

It's cool, I thought you were saying they were a disgrace solely on the fact that they are hip hop and techno. If they suck then go ahead and hate them :)

RideTheLightning03 08-10-2005 10:49 AM

Go down and listen to clips of some of this one. This shit is so bad it's not even funny.

The punk tribute to Metallica was pretty good, I only have a few but they aren't just plain covers, something's changed about them.

PepsiMetal 08-10-2005 11:07 AM

There is some metallica tribute CD which has motorhead doing enter sandman and few other better bands covering metallica songs. I dont have the album, but I downloaded the enter sandman cover and was very very good.

FlyingPaul_83 08-10-2005 11:43 AM

Thank you for that useless piece of information that means nothing to anybody.

Endless Obsession 08-10-2005 11:49 AM

Motorhead won a grammy for "Best Metal Performance" for their cover of Whiplash.
