Discordance Axis 08-16-2008 08:40 AM

Just wondering if anyone has caught any word about the British screamo band 'Maths'? Their split with Throats is godly.

They are pretty good, but its all been done before and a lot better. Ive heard only good things about the Mock Heroic, but I am having trouble tracking their stuff down.

Discordance Axis 08-17-2008 06:04 PM

The Mock Heroic are really good, definitely an interesting band. Norwich, right? And yeah, I'm finding the same difficulties.

team_racket 08-18-2008 05:08 AM

Yeah man, really good stuff. Hit me up if you find any of their stuff.

Win A Rabbit 08-18-2008 12:04 PM

so i've come to the conclusion that overall, girls who are into emo > girls who are not into emo.

pppoe 08-18-2008 12:08 PM

depends on the emo.

Tyr 08-18-2008 12:24 PM

I wouldn't know, since I don't know any girls who like emo. The only person I know who actually does like some emo is my brother.

Girls into the promise ring get adorable points.

Girls into Orchid are probably mad scene,

Girls into Indian Summer probably have pics on SG.

heavy heavy low low is doing a show with....

comadre? wtf...

Iluvatar 08-21-2008 12:28 PM

i hope that isnt complaining because comadre is really fun live

edit: supposedly at The Fest this year Comadre is doing a side show with The Swellers/maybe Coalesce, and they are just going to do Refused covers.

iamrockzorz 08-21-2008 12:45 PM

No... Comadre is amazing... but have you heard heavy heavy low low? everyone else on the bill is so scene and really shouldn't be on that bill.

iamrockzorz 08-21-2008 04:08 PM

Yo chris, do you have a facebook or something? Some way to keep in touch so we can meet up in DC a little easier?

Girls into Orchid are my jam.

Then the fact that I have most of Chaos is Me memorized lyrically won't seem so nerdy.

cbmartinez 08-21-2008 11:30 PM

i like that song, also good is the last song and the one with the ocean imagery. and sticks and stones is the most brutal riff ever

pixiesfanyo 08-22-2008 03:33 AM

but sweet.

flesh 08-22-2008 03:35 AM
As somebody who likes that chord progressions a lot (the i - bVII - VI that you do on d#m - C#M - BM), when you do it in 6/8 for the entire song that's not too different from what Taking Back Sunday does. Of course you guys are skramz so it's a little different but still. I'd like to hear more variety, either rhythmically (the drummer hits the same accents the whole song) or harmonically (bust out of that chord progression).
Yeah, that drummer is a f'ucking dumbass. We're getting a new one. And as for the progressions I dont know much about that. I dont play an instrument in the band. Thanks for the feedback. :chug:

Chaos is me is one of about 4 skramz that I still listen to.

The Skramz are sick.

I mainly rock only Orchid, Gospel, Saetia, City of Caterpillar, or Circle Takes the Square anymore though.

cobert 08-24-2008 01:34 PM

City of Caterpillar / Portraits of Past / Orchid

Once in a blue moon I'll bump some early 90's stuff or some Moss Icon or something, but it's a rare occasion.
