anyone ever heard of The Swimming Pool Q's? Dirty rock sorta like B-52s but not gay
http://www.swimmingpoolqs.com/music-and-mp3s/ratbait.mp3 |
i'm listening to it right now as a matter of fact and i do like it. sort of reminds me of Rope style Jesus Lizard in its odd country punk sense, but less hard. cool stuff though, thanks

yeah i could have used a Scratch Acid comparison as well but that would be TOO obvious |
YDload, check out the Didjits. It's kind of Scratch Acid-ish, but I don't know, you'd like it.
|
lots of music

they were on Touch and Go as well...I wouldn't really say that the Didjits sound much like Scratch Acid though. Didjits are a lot more conventional, vocally at least...although I do agree that YDLoad would probably like them. Hornet Pinata is an amazing album. |

Yeah, I also have Torture Garden.
But right now I'm listening to a best of Jethro Tull, because a friend loaned me it. I saw her cry over a complete vinyl collection of all Jethro Tull, so I decided I better give it a listen. |
Torture Garden is so much better than Naked City.
|
Yeah, I decided I needed to check it out because on my radio station's jazz show he played three tracks. It definitely woke me up on a sunday morning.

Melvins and early Neil Young.
It's pretty decent, I can only take so much of it, but Wham City is such an awesome track. NP: The Flaming Lips - The Observer |
I just got two Midlake albums off a mate and I have to say Van Occupanther is one of the greatest albums I've heard in a very long time...is anyone else here a fan?
