Get American Beauty for the Grateful Dead.

Badmoon 02-25-2005 04:00 PM
Yea, I already have their other S/t(Skull and Roses).
Well I have 'em all ;)

Jam2Me 02-25-2005 04:03 PM

Anybody have a really clear recording of "Volunteers" by Jefferson Airplane because even though mines remastered its still fuzzy. Great song too.

Jam2Me 02-25-2005 04:07 PM
Well I have 'em all ;)
Every time I browse through the Grateful Dead section I find all of these studio Cds that I'm not familiar with, I get overwhelmed and don't buy any :p .
Any lesser known gems you'd reccomend?

Badmoon 02-25-2005 04:11 PM

Well, what do you have?

lunch998 02-25-2005 04:24 PM
Well I have 'em all ;)
Yea I know. You win this round, but I'll be back. You can count on that....

lunch998 02-25-2005 04:24 PM

Oh yea I have Blue Light Rain. Put one in the "win" column for me.

I've been wanting to get Volunteers for the longest time. I only have Surrealistic Pillow.

Every company has seemed to have trouble with remastering Jefferson Airplane albums. What a shame.
So I just got
Grateful Dead - S/t, Workingman's Dead
Allman Bros - Eat a Peach
Traffic - John Barleycorn Must Die.

I figured it was about time I got Workingman's Dead and Eat a Peach.
Awesome stuff. What do you think of the Traffic album? I haven't listened to that one in ages.

Woodstock 02-25-2005 04:57 PM

Eat A Peach > all

thickasabrick 02-25-2005 05:00 PM

I'm going to admit right now I have never listend to Eat a Peach before. I've got an Allman Brothers album, but not Eat a Peach. I assume it's worth me buying?

edit- but I gotta go work out whos buying weed for tonight, then I may stop by the library and see if they have On The Road.

More than anything on your current wanted list.

Badmoon 02-25-2005 05:04 PM
Oh yea I have Blue Light Rain. Put one in the "win" column for me.
You wouldn't have had it if it wasn't for me.

thickasabrick 02-25-2005 05:04 PM
More than anything on your current wanted list.
Haha alright you've convinced me to go to the record store tomorrow.

Jam2Me 02-25-2005 05:07 PM
Haha alright you've convinced me to go to the record store tomorrow.
If you can get Beginnings or Idlewild South, Beginnings is their first two albums on one disc for the price of one ( :thumb: ) but if they don't have that just get Idlewild South by itself. Eat A Peach is better, but only marginally.

Jam2Me 02-25-2005 05:09 PM
Well, what do you have?
I have:
s/t (1967)
American Beauty
Workingman's Dead
Terrapin Station
Blues For Allah

EDIT: ..and their most recent Greatset Hits..if that counts for anything :smoke:

Badmoon 02-25-2005 05:12 PM

Get Wake of the Flood. Or Aoxomoxoa or Anthem of the Sun.

jpj 02-25-2005 05:17 PM
You wouldn't have had it if it wasn't for me.
I wouldn't have a lot of albums if it wasn't for you :upset:

lunch998 02-25-2005 05:18 PM
Awesome stuff. What do you think of the Traffic album? I haven't listened to that one in ages.
Interesting. Good, I like the jazz/rock stuff they do.

Jam2Me 02-25-2005 05:18 PM
Get Wake of the Flood. Or Aoxomoxoa or Anthem of the Sun.
Is Wake of the Flood not made anymore or something?

And Aoxomoxoa is one of those albums that was at the store, I'll have to pick it up next time.

:thumb: Gracias

lunch998 02-25-2005 05:19 PM
You wouldn't have had it if it wasn't for me.
Debatable.

I only need Live/Dead and Europe 72 to basically complete the early Dead years(bootlegs and some live albums excluded).

Badmoon 02-25-2005 05:19 PM
I wouldn't have a lot of albums if it wasn't for you :upset:
;).

krazy_guitarist_3 02-25-2005 05:20 PM

I'm young too and I like classic rock. I find one of the best classic bands is Bon Jovi. They still put on amazing shows and decent new albums after 20 years of rocking. Saw them twice, gonna see them as long as they tour.

Saw the Stones twice, my first real concert at 8 years old Voodoo Lounge Tour. They put on great shows at their age.

Gotta respect the classic rock. Bands like that were the influence for otehrs band to come.

Badmoon 02-25-2005 05:20 PM
Debatable.
1. You interest in the Grateful Dead would be slim without my influence.
2. None of you would have heard of Jazz is Dead, let alone by one of their albums.
3. My review of Laughing Water also did a lot.

Badmoon 02-25-2005 05:22 PM

Animosity managed to get Blues for Allah, why shouldn't you be able to get Wake of the Flood. I could also send it to you.
Well I have 'em all ;)
How many GD albums are there?

Badmoon 02-25-2005 05:23 PM
How many GD albums are there?
I do not have all the live albums, so I am not exactly sure. I pretty much guessed that most of you would have realized that, being that there's a ton.
