Its what the middle easterns used origionally to smoke. Its a bit like a huge water bong, but you smoke flavored wet tobacco through it, and the smoke is very, very think. It has a hose ending in a mouthpeice, so usually you sit around in a circle and pass the hose, with the hookah in a table in the middle. It goes down really smooth, and tastes great. You can mix flavors too. Vanilla and Peach tobacco makes peaches and cream, for example.

I've always asked that. If the government legalised it and controled the growth, like they do with tobacco and charges taxes etc they could make some good bucks.

California has very liberal pot laws. If you are seen smoking the cops won't care, and will usually let you off if you have some pot when they search you. We are also the only state that has medicinal marijuana, even though federal law prohibits it.

Prohibition was instituted by Warren harding who cam fom a small rural town. The prohibition movement was an almost exclusively rural one. Alcohol, before and during the prohibition, was socially acceptable in most major cities.
