Aktor 01-30-2006 11:32 AM

I'll just introduce myself.

My name is Anders Aktor, I'm 16 years old and I live in Copenhagen, Denmark. I've played drums for around 5 years, bass for around a year, piano for around 6 months and guitar for around 2 years (never did anything serious out of the guitar though). I go to "Gymnasium" which is kinda something between high-shcool and college. It's not a gym :P .
The coolest thing that ever happened to me behind a kit was when I was playing with my old band at this small Cafe. We were playing one of our song and then suddenly my right stick slipped out of my hands (that happens all the time for me), and first hit the middle tom then the Floor Tom, then jumped up in mid-air so i could catch it just in time to hit the crash-cymbal. That was pretty cool :P
Oh yeah and there was this other time (not at band camp though :P ) where i was practicing and the stick slipped out of my hand during a fill, and hit a girl in the head, which made her faint.

And my fav band is Queens of the Stone Age. They're the ****.
No, They will sound different. Common mistake with people new to Artificial times. BB has the same problem with Quintuplets.
What am I doing wrong?

There is nothing wrong with that at all.

Josiah 01-30-2006 01:20 PM

That was easy. And not very applicable.

Try to tab quintuplets on the snare drum and 16ths on the bass drum.

Jezen 01-30-2006 01:25 PM

It's not really possible. Tabs can only communicate an idea so far. I know what you are saying and you're not wrong. Notation always has and always will blow tablature out of the water, but as we are using HTML it is alot easier to write tabs as it takes alot less time.

Double Bass Jim 01-30-2006 01:30 PM

Work on your ear somemore, you won't need em.

I was happy with MD's for mp3s but I want videos man! VIDEOS!!!!!

Win A Rabbit 01-30-2006 02:57 PM

der meister, my brother's friend has a video ipod that holds _ hours of videos (i don't know exactly), but the battery only lasts half an hour on the video function. they're meant to watch music videos, not full movies.

Jezen 01-30-2006 02:58 PM
any problems with it?
No problems, except it will rest in pieces after 2 years.

There are far better mp3 players around anyway...

demondrummer1 01-30-2006 03:01 PM

Im waiting for my bro to get a good mp3 player, so I can use it, as I'm saving my money for drums right now.

PSP's are good, they can hold a lot/play for a long time. I put a full movie on my cousin's, and I think he watched it twice.
