I'm not too bad. I've been having a really nice week hanging out with friends every day. I keep waking up in the mornings feeling kind of crappy though. I'm not sure why. Anyway, I'm not too bad. How are you Zappa?

pixiesfanyo 04-06-2006 04:32 PM

My girlfriend had her period this week and has cried everyday.

How odd?

Man, I feel your pain on that one.
Are you wearing blackface or something?
Nah, I put purple hair dye all over my body and wore it to school for a rally. I won a prize for most spirited
Is that a picture of yourself on the toilet? Or near one?
No, I was IN THE TOILET!

Hopefully I'm going to Picthfork this year, my friend is going to Bonnaroo and I'm quite jealous, whatevz.

Today has been an overwhelming day. I keep getting anxiety attacks again, it sucks. But, in the midst of everything, I've managed to write some music I'm pleased with, so I guess it balances one way or another.

I Was A Kaleidoscope 04-07-2006 03:32 AM

I've been trying to watch classic old movies.
I watched Vertigo the other day and I might watch Dr. Strangelove tonight.

Yo Bread, I saw a poster in town today for that show in Jamie's Carpark tomorrow night, it looks like it could be pretty good. Do you know much about the other bands playing (are they all local/good), or much about the venue?

All I know about it is that my bro's band is playing and it should be good unless it rains.

Oh, and that it's all ages and BYO.

/not helpful

Someone recommend me some Tindersticks songs to download pls.

So obviously it's an outdoor venue then? And yeh if it does rain that'll be a massive letdown because I've been wanting to see them since they did the show with Calvin Johnson (which I missed).

I'm meeting this girl that I like tomorrow.

My mum and sister are away so I have an empty house :naughty:

Be sure to tape everything.

what

JonM 04-07-2006 02:03 PM

This terrible, manipulative girl that has hooked up with no fewer than five guys I know and totally screwed them over when she decided she was done with them tried her luck with me last night. I rejected the shit out of her. It was really satisfying, in a way. I think she's so terrible, and she's hurt so many good guys, and the best part was that her game was sooooooo bad. It was like embarrassingly bad. And she seemed totally confused by the fact that her plan was failing.

Dr. Strangelove is awesome. Peter Sellers is probably the best comic actor ever, and this movie really showcases it.

Kyle 04-07-2006 02:37 PM

REM came on the loud speaker at work today, I was caught dancing twice.

This is why so few MXers have girlfriends. Which is why so many have time to post on here. So that's why this forum exists at all.

Not good.

Zappa 04-07-2006 06:56 PM

I'm sorry to hear that. I've actually been pretty great, despite hating school.

Zappa 04-07-2006 07:02 PM
I find a way to combine both passions.
I'm sure there are plenty like you. I was simply joking because stereotyping everyone on internet forums as nerds that can't "get girls" is something that's easy to do and can sometimes be fun.

Zappa 04-07-2006 07:09 PM

This definition of "To externalize and attribute (an emotion or motive, for example) unconsciously to someone or something else in order to avoid anxiety?"

I don't really know what you're talking about. Because I'm dumb.

ATM 04-07-2006 10:07 PM

If you talk to your gf on the phone, and surf MX, everyone wins.

I Was A Kaleidoscope 04-07-2006 11:05 PM

So, I saw Dr. Strangelove and then 'Manos': The Hands Of Fate and loved them both (for entirely different reasons). Manos is so bad it's hilarious. Torgo is great.
And Dr. Strangelove is definitely one of the best war movies I've ever seen, if not the best.

You can't fight in here! This is the War Room!

Did you watch Manos just as a movie, or the MST3K version?

I Was A Kaleidoscope 04-08-2006 12:18 AM

The MST3K version.

Go Stop Stop are also playing and they're awesome and like Interpol. SCUL HAZZARDS are kind of, I dunno, like Sonic Youth or something. I've only heard 2 songs and I don't remember them too well. The Night Crash are two asian dudes who play instrumental stuff. I've got their EP and it's pretty cool.

Interstate 04-08-2006 03:52 AM

I'm so friggin tired!

I've been up since 6am because I had to pick my friend up from the train station and she lives ridiculously far away.
