[QUOTE=Disconnection Notice]Acid? Good luck...[/QUOTE]

Yea, someone's looking for a bad trip.

StreetlightRock 02-24-2005 08:21 AM

Oh my.

I've been to heaven and hell and back again only to find i never left. I just was Velvet Revolver, and its the best f'ucking concert to ive been in my life. Scott Wieland has amazing stage presence, but just to see Slash and Duff in action for the first time... I was right in front, centre stage, with just 3 people seperating me from the stage. I don't think ive ever been surrounded by so many hot, sweaty, men. My maiden shirt was soked, like, dripping, by the end of it. There were points in it i had trouble breathing 'cause of how goddam crowded it was. But it was worth it. More than anything.

Like these guys are the people that really got me into rock, and playing guitar, my goal when i started was to play the Sweet Child O' Mine solo. It was like looking at gods man. I wish i saw more of Sorum, but even though i was really infront, suffice to say im not quite the tallest person in the planet. Besides, everyone else looked like 5-10 years older than me =/ But s'hit, Scott can preform so well, Slash and Duff are just the f'ucking epitome of awsome, Matt, i didnt see much of, and Kushner... Its like that picked him simply because he can play guitar, honestly, heh. But Scott, Slash and Duff - Abosolutely god like. The lighting, the mixing....

*goes into dreamlike state*

DVG.

my fave 'classic rock' bass player. He is a nice guy too :thumb:

Hmm, how do I paste photos to my posts????

Jam2Me 02-24-2005 11:41 AM

Acid is great I only use like a quarter of the pad and its fine, I've never had a bad trip either (out of my 4 :\ )
There's a kid in my school who looks like Jim Morrison (with beard) and he's the source for the school.
He's going to the Gov't Mule concert also on Saturday, I think I'll be sober during that though since I have to get a ride from my friends' parents home.

I've seen commercials about the John Lennon acoustic album, would anyone highly reccomend it?

IAJP 02-24-2005 11:48 AM

I've never tried acid, I have smoked a lot of weed though,
And on the Lennon abum, I'm not sure sorry.

pigonthewing82 02-24-2005 11:50 AM

You know I can't find any threads on the Grateful Dead, so rather then make a one of my many threads that die in less then a day, I'll talk about them in here. Who in here has heard their cover of All Along the Watchtower. It's as good as Hendrix's, but in different ways.

IAJP 02-24-2005 11:58 AM

I'm not a big fan of it, I like the Dead a lot though.

Jam2Me 02-24-2005 12:03 PM

We talk about the Dead enough in here to do without a thread.

I've heard that version, it's pretty good, nothing special.

Anybody have any Warlocks CDs? I've seen them in CD stores and I'm never sure if its gonna be some terrible metal band or the pre-Grateful Dead works.

You can't the IMG tags don't work.

They only work in the CD review section, but that's been moved to a whole other site.

Jam2Me: HIGHLY reccomend the John Lennon acoustic album.

It's brilliant. Plus, if you play guitar, it gives you the chords in the little book-thingy and a chord chart, so you can play along.

'Tis my acoustic jam album :thumb: :D

Yeah it's a must-see even if you're not a DeadHead.
Heh, I was talking to my boss from last year's summer job, because I'm getting a job there again, he's a park ranger and also a former Dead-Head. He's been to 21 Grateful Dead shows, he said he followed the band for 7 shows straight once. He never told me about all of the drug use since he's a father/park ranger/boss now.

No they only came out with one album (s\t) and it was only played on collage radio stations. (1968)

[QUOTE=Schyma]So what time period is this Brian Jownstown Massacre from? 60's?[/QUOTE]

No there recent. I belive their first cd came out in the mid or late 90's. I don't know much about there history, only their music. I only got into them last week.

thickasabrick 02-24-2005 03:40 PM

Lets all give a cheer for psychdedelic music and how awesome it is.

Anyone here like the song Hurdy Gurdy Man? I think it might be one of the most well crafted songs under 4 minutes long...same with Good Vibrations.

edit- what are some recommended songs Schyma? All I keep getting is the Presidents of the United States of America.

Woodstock 02-24-2005 03:57 PM
