That guitar is about as weird looking as w/e the hell that bird is. I've seen guitars with that pickup configuration before, but rarely. Though what really gets me is the selector switch/knob positions.

I might have to go down to the shop I mentioned above and try some out. Just digging through the $500-800 range I see:

- ESP LTD Delux EC-1000 (LP Body)
*Prefer the SD pickups in the blue color, but that color comes with EMGs

- ESP LTD MH-401NT (Super Strat)
*EMGs

- Jackson DKMGT Dinky (Super Strat)
*EMGs, again, but I'll be honest I've never actually had the pleasure of playing a guitar with active EMGs. I only know them through bands/videos.

- Hamer Standard Flametop (Explorer body style basically)
* Only Duncan-Design pickups
* Cheaper than the others

Though lets face it, what I need to do is kick my ass into finishing my resume. So I can get a job, then hopefully get myself a $1-1.2k ESP of my choosing by my birthday in May.
your tellin me man, i own it! haha but i truely have never felt a more well placed switch and knobs, for my picking hand at least. everything is way out of the way, but right fucking there, the switch especially

Just installed Windows 7, should have fun dicking around in it for a little while. Hope I can find support for all my games and stuff though. Kept putting it off, but researching the XP emulation to see if AutoCAD 2007 works. If it works with out a glitch then I can put W7 on my mother's computer when I build it.

Lets face it, if it sounds good and plays good it can look weirder than all hell and no one cares.

i love this guitar. it is an LTD. paid 300 "used" (brand fucking new, still had plastic film on pickups no indications of wear anywhere).

shit rules arse, throw some skinny top heavy bottom rotosounds on it and your ready for whatever youd like

EDIT: it was a definite must to swap pickups though, kind of goes without saying. im just glad i had these two homies chillin in other guitars
I've got the 7 string SC but damn the 6 strings look even better, especially with trans finishes.

Protein shakes are for people who want to make the best gains they can.
Protein shakes are for people who want to make the best gains they can.
"Best gains" meaning "most gains"? I think those balloon people look disgusting. I'd rather be built like Matthew Mcconaughey, or at most Jason Statham or Hugh Jackman, than Sly or Arnold, and I'm pretty close with just working out, running and eating healthy.

Left Face Down 01-17-2010 08:24 AM

Installed Mandriva 2010 Linux, and I'm leaning towards putting Arch or Gentoo over this thing tonight. I get linux installs because I can customize the computer the way I want. I figured I wouldn't have as much worthless crap come with the distro than it does. That, and I'm trying to install files through its own installer and it is erroring.

I downloaded the programs and I've been trying to find a way to install them manually, with out their installer (which doesn't even use the files I downloaded), and it just isn't working out.

It is kind of like when you are on a first date, you try to stick it in her butt, and she says she doesn't do that. Yeah, you'll finish up... but she isn't staying around very long.

Ditto, lean muscle is the way to go.
I'd rather be built like Matthew Mcconaughey, or at most Jason Statham or Hugh Jackman
kinda gay. protein shakes as snacks keep u from feelin hungry without consuming as many calories and when consumed after a work out helps build muscle so when u wake up the next morning u feel less sore. it has nothing to do with steroids and looking like the michelin man.

its also a littl disturbing to know u fantasize about matt mcconaughey and hugh jackman. i mean, i gues those arent bad choice, but i figured you more for a tits guy. oh well.

El-Ahrairah 01-17-2010 08:49 AM

Trigger, most people who drink protein shakes and pump iron do it to gain as much muscle as possible, for whatever reasons, mostly impaired self esteem.

Why else would one drink ground chicken mixed with oat?

most peoepl are retarded. im sure we can agree on that. for the msot part, im not a real big eater, so mixing some protein powerder with some skim milk and ice and banana is much easier for me to consume than a whole meal of chicken or tuna or something like that. and even THATS kinda gross bc i dont like milk.

btw how does that dude wipe his own ***?

Looks pretty, question is does it sound pretty, and does it make you feel like a hot 18 year old grinding on you when you play it.

Hell no, can't play in drop G on a 6 string.

Also lod, I recommend that you drink continuously, because when you don't drink for a week or two then go out for a few pints you end up rough as fuck the next morning, ie, now.

im sure u saved a few pennies in the process tho. im currently not drinking bc im trying to lower my tolerance for alcohol. cant go out spending half my pay check in a weekend.

Sad But True 01-18-2010 08:32 AM

Well yeah, saved a bit of money in that I had no money to spend in the first place. I got payed like £450, got £900 from my student loan, but my accommodation fees are a grand, and two months worth of car insurance at £64 a time, means I've got less than £150 to last me a month of petrol, food, and general expenses.
