your face is gay |
Recently got some This Will Destroy You. Good stuff!
Going to see them this Thursday with ASIWYFA supporting them. I hope it was the other way around tho :(
That would be a pretty sweet show to go see. I have never been to a post rock show. I'm going to see Russian Circles in December, so I'm pretty excited about that.
It's my first post-rock show too. Going to be my gig of the year (might change my opinion after the Propagandhi show). Russian Circles are great, post-metal tho. post-post
I would agree that they are post metal
That sweet though they are playing with ASIWYFA. I definitely dug their last album. Russian Circles are playing with some post hardcore band, Young Windows, never really heard of them, so don't know what to expect with them |
young widows is better than russian circles
that show will be ****ing awesome |
cool ****, i'll check them out then, got a little more excited for the show now
Might check them out as well.
Which Sigur Ros album would you guys recommend to someone new to the band?
agaetis
Thanks.
id recommend ignoring their existence

dont mind poppin takk on when im doing my pilates or ballet recitals though |
takk isn't even their best, you're clearly gay
Guys, stop fighting. :(
nawww man its soothing soundscapes are soooo purrfect for emphasizing proper breathing, and correcting spinal and pelvic alignment. i feel so aware of where my body is in space when i hear the vocals. sometimes at night i put my headphones on my pregnant belly and let (soon to be!) nepenthe jr. listen to it.
lol

Just listened to The Gentleman Losers s/t. Amazing stuff. Check them out(Thanks to Nepenthe for the rec).
Yeah, that band is pretty good.
im pretty disappointed with their latest, dustland. its good, but its a pretty standard ambient album. they totally lost the unique sound they had on the self titled.
havent heard that one

what? WHAT THE FUCK. Officialy the best day of this year for me. I didn't know they were releasing an album! Possibly in my top 5 fav bands. |
Yeah, its called Here be Dragons. Just finished downloading!
I'm definitely ordering this. |
Line up is the same?
"In comparison with TKDE's debut album and the following "Mutations", "Here Be Dragons" distinguish itself with his focus on very clear acousticsounds, pulsating organic basses and a wider room left for Charlotte Cegarra's vocals. Still drawing inspiration from old movies, The Kilimanjaro Darkjazz Ensemble delivers here a soundtrack to a dense, intense yet-to-be-made film, shifting from the touching scenes of "Embers" and "Seneca" to the darker and perilous ones of "Caravan!" and "Samhain Labs" (named after TKDE's studio).
An intense, coherent and original work which required an uncommon amount of work, care and perfectionism, "Here Be Dragons" is definitely TKDE's most accomplished and important release to date, and should show the path that this band intends on taking on his already remarkable career." |
Vocals? That's going to be interesting. Can't wait to hear the dark and perilous tracks.
The vocals are so beautiful, what a great album!
not post rock but i really have no idea where to post this so yeah new kilimanjaro leaked
f'n awesome, i can't wait to hear this, i never acquired mutations, but their self titled was great |
About to listen to it... Going to edit in a bit and tell how awesome it is.
so how was mutations compared to the self titled?
its very similar but its a little more dinamic, if it had been longer it would probably had been much better.
well, might as well try to get both that and the here be dragons
yeah definitely do that :)
