Yeah, me and a few guys at college are doing a tribute to Sunn0))) by trying a My Wall-type song for our final project.

i know only Sunn O))). i don't know any other drone.

I've never really bothered with drone besides a little Sunn O))). It doesn't really interest me.

Yea I had my guitar tuned down a couple steps and we played for about 2 hours.

I wish I could down-tune my guitar so I could play this stuff. My guitar causes me so many headaches. I need to get a different guitar so I can down-tune.

what did you guys think of Altar?

I never gave Altar a fair chance, though I did like some songs.

Altar is great stuff.
Although I would rather call it a split then a collaboration, because you clearly hear which songs are written by Boris and which by Sunn O))).

But still very good, nice atmosphere and completely unexpected actually.
I expected something completely different, but I guess that's the power of Sunn and Boris.

As brilliant as Sunn0))) and Boris are, I thought Alter was dissapointing.

My favorite drone band is Teeth of the Lions Rule the Divine, which is Sunn0))) with Lee Dorian and a drummer.

TOTLRTD is pretty awesome.
The addition of the vocals is very good.
