NP: Bohemian Rhapsody- Queen. Man I can't wait to go see them in March
my dad saw Queen in 1975 :p |
my dad saw Queen in 1975 :p
I wasn't around in 1975 :p YES! Trivium is coming back! Along with In Flames and two bands I've never heard of. That'd be a good show. NP: Highway to Hell - AC/DC. Why does my computer always change AC/DC to AC; DC? (that's a link) |
rofl @ Ollie. i take it Cradle were good?
dammit i'm tired. /just got in from work.
I reviewed it in said thread. They booted arse. |
I am going to that tour, only for In Flames though, as they chose really bad bands to be touring with...
Zao is a horrible christian metal band I do believe, and Devildriver is a mediocre band that was created by Dez from Coal Chamber. I don't want to sit through Trivium for a third time... NP - Cradle of Filth - Cthulhu Dawn |

/refrains from mentioning how immensely good that was live. |
I've never heard of Zoa, or Devil Driver. I assume they'll be the opening acts, then Trivium, then In Flames
|
I had the 4th top posts in the last com thread, and in this one i have about 5.
Go figure. |
Zao had one good song that I've heard; the rest have been pretty bad. DevilDriver has a couple good songs, but the rest aren't that great. I only like one Trivium song, "Pull Harder..." but I would love to see In Flames.
My friend says he's going to try to get me to go to an In Flames show with him (he saw them with KSE and AILD last year and tried to get me to go with him) this year, but we'll see how that goes. He goes to mosh, though. I would want to go to shows to watch and listen, not mosh. |

I've liked what I've heard but it isn't much. You only like Pull Harder? The songs on that album are so similar to each other, I'm shocked you don't like "A Gunshot..." |

I'm buying tickets for that show right now. I agree on the openers, but In Flames are definately worth it in spite of the other crappy bands. |
The first time I saw Trivium, they played well and sounded well, minus the fact that Matt cannot control his vocals later in their set due to not screaming correctly. Last time I saw them, a couple weeks ago at the CoB show, they were horrible. The sound was awful and they played extremely sloppy. With the bad sound man and the sloppy playing, it sounded like a giant mess, but Matt improved on his vocals a tiny bit. But you could still tell he strained his vocals towards the end of the set. Ollie : I want to see CoF live, I have missed them like 4 times so far. :\ And In Flames are killer live, as I saw them last year on the STYE tour with KSE and AILD. NP - Cradle of Filth - No Time To Cry I love this cover, well done to say the least. |
I really don't see the point in moshing. If you want to do that, invite all your friends over to your backyard and do it. Don't pay 60 dollars to do it to music. It's not like you pay attention to the concert while your moshing. What's the point?
|
I hate moshing. It's like getting drunk at a concert. Isn't the point to enjoy the music?
100 more posts until 6,666! It doesn't mean anything, i'm just stating that. Off to see Oliver (the musical) everyone, talk to you all later  |
Moshing is just a natrual reaction to a lot of metal music, IMO. I love moshing and dancing at gigs, makes the whole experience better.
It works both ways, i could just say why pay 60 dollars when you could put the cd on in your front room. |

Pssh, if you don't like moshing, get away from the pit.

Concerts don't cost 60 dollars. Majority of the concerts I go to are 10-20 dollars... And I mosh during band's that I don't really care about, as it is fun to hit people to loud music heh. And you can pay attention to the music while moshing, it's not that hard. |

Right. It's fun, but not when it's a band you really want to hear and watch and absorb. |

Wherever you go where concerts that are 10-20 bucks...that's crazy. |
Depends. I go to a lot of underground punk gigs, and the best one i went to was The Filaments. They played a song called Men Of The Law and the place just erupted. Considering there was probably about 120 of us there, it was brutal.
Best pit ever, even though this massive punk knocked me down. He picked me up straight after though heh. King Of Terrors : Most of the concerts i go to are about 6-10 pounds. |

Wherever you go where concerts that are 10-20 bucks...that's crazy.
And I am not disagreeing just for the sake of disagreeing with you, as that has always been my thought on moshing because I have been to quite a few shows. The Children of Bodom show was only 16 dollars, Vader and Decapitated was only 12 dollars, Fear Factory and Soilwork was only 20 dollars... The upcoming tours in January I am seeing are cheap. Kreator is 20 dollars, Nile is 20 dollars and In Flames is 20 dollars. |
I've never paid above 30 dollars for a concert. Usually it's between 10-20. I'm seeing TSO in a week, and those tickets were only about 30 bucks as well. 60 is ridiculous.

Whoa. Maybe it's because metal bands never come to Florida :p
Gigantour was 50 bucks over here. Arucard - Convert pounds to U.S dollars for me :p |

Gigantour was 50 bucks over here. Arucard - Convert pounds to U.S dollars for me :p
Gigantour is different...for example: If a band goes to the Bell Centre (big place where they could fit 20000people) The tickets are gunna be like 60, 70 Can dollars. Then if the y go to the Medly (place with about 2000people) the tickets are gunna be about 25, 20 dollars Can. |
