I know, it was fairly annoying finding that out.

Our guitarist basically heard him singing to himself on the bus, and was like :o

And then he joined and we were all like :o

no

really no

coz they iz SuxXor singaz

I think we'll find one soon, in Belgium drummers are harder to find so I'm glad we already found one when the first one isn't officially out yet.
meh, i find singers easy to come by. but drummers and guitarists hard to find

lowsound
That's strange, here it is the other way around. We've got problems to find singers, like I said. And I think that singing is more like a 'talent' rather than practise, isn't it?

Bass_swede 10-16-2005 01:45 PM

I didn't like the 8-Jazz either.. I imagained a "real" one with eight bass strings :naughty:

I think every member of my band can sing to an ok standard.

I'm the worst, but even I can sing a little. My scales are pitch perfect. I just have problems with actual words

I still need to find out how to scream, I can scream loud and dirty (in 'normal life'). I have problems with singing and playing at the same time :upset:

I tried screaming today. My guitarist was quite impressed.

Although we play heavy music, we do it with more operatic vocals, a bit like Killswitch Engage. The screaming is too a minimum used only for impact.

We do lots of harmonies. One chorus has a 3 part harmony.

its really hard to explain. tho i do have a very low scream, in the baritone range. i can scream higher, but i have to train my voice so it doesn't hurt when i do it.

I don't need it afterall :p It still sound cool sometimes! For example: in one yellowcard song the bassist screams and that really makes the song 'kick in' then)

But singing and playing together is a bitch :upset:

I find it much easier on guitar for some reason.

I can play and sing Hotel Yorba by the White Stripes.

I've got the newest album and Alive Or Just Breating, is the album before that worth a listen?

ya, i can play and talk at the same time and i like spoken lyrics

kilian 10-16-2005 01:55 PM

Yeah! I can also play guitar and sing (for as far as it goes, background vocals are ok). But with bass, it is way more difficult for me for some reason..

I'm starting a punkband (just for fun and the shows) with me on guitar and then I'll try to sing some more.

ya, its the only one with the old singer/screamer. its way heavyer and i think that it was recorded while they were still at berklee

lowsound

PaulR 10-16-2005 01:56 PM

I can't speak or sing and play bass at the same time.

It's something to do with rhythm maybe?
