Yeah, Squares are delicious. Man, I remember all the old Smiths favourites. Frazzles, Chipsticks, Squares.

Discos are nice too

Permanent Solution 08-27-2005 11:37 AM

/me eats pop-tarts

Untitled 08-27-2005 11:39 AM

Oh discos, i used to love them, but i had a packet recently and they where like plastic, i dunno if it was a bad batch or what though.

I love all walkers crisp, well the normal ones i dont usualy like the special edition ones they bring out sometimes.

Kif 08-27-2005 11:42 AM

Oh man, how can we talk about crisps and not talk about McCoys?! They are great, especially salt and vinegar.

Speaking of which, why are we talking about crisps?

DJ Ducksauce 08-27-2005 11:43 AM

English junk food names are confusing.

Untitled 08-27-2005 11:45 AM

We are talkign about crisps becuase jon thaught you ment crisps when you said chips, i think.

I dont realy eat mccoys, only walkers.

I dunno what album to listen to too, i have 3 cheers on, but its pretty much finished and it can be a chin stroking time.

Fish 08-27-2005 11:45 AM

junk food is good, go jelly bellys

Kif 08-27-2005 11:45 AM

I'm listening to Jack's Mannequin again, and one of my favourite songs on the album is on.

LA LA LIE!

DJ Ducksauce 08-27-2005 11:46 AM
junk food is good, go jelly bellys
Yes! Something I know!

Mute Print 08-27-2005 11:48 AM

I'm listening to Across Five Aprils. I just downloaded one of their albums last night, and it's really good.

The Jack's Mannequin CD is awesome, by the way.

Across Five Aprils is great.

Their album is amazing. Their latest EP is a tad crapular though. Decent first track, the rest of it is utterly bland though.

Permanent Solution 08-27-2005 11:53 AM

Yay I made a thread

I wish I knew the bands we're discussing :(

I'd never heard them before last night, but I'm really liking them. I downloaded A Tragedy In Progress and the Living In The Moment EP. They're both pretty good.

Untitled 08-27-2005 11:57 AM

I put Punk-o-rama 10 on, its got a good mix of music i like, but i dont like the rap and hip-hop stuff, but ill skip it.

DJ Ducksauce 08-27-2005 11:59 AM

Kif 08-27-2005 12:23 PM

I just spent ages on a supercool avatar for Jack's Mannequin, and the filesize is ruining it for me  :(

Permanent Solution 08-27-2005 12:24 PM

Making avatars is lame*

*totally Kif's thing**

BridgeToSolace 08-27-2005 12:53 PM

I just had some taco bell.

It wasn't very good.

Angry Balled Fists! 08-27-2005 01:08 PM

Evening all, my parents ar eout so i'm babysitting.

I'm ashamed to be listening to The Casualties, but the fact is they get a lot of undue critisism, they are a great street punk band.

Untitled 08-27-2005 01:09 PM

The vocals realy piss me off with the casualties.

DJ Ducksauce 08-27-2005 01:10 PM

I quite like them, they aren't as bad as most people make them out to be, they are awesome on some songs, like Unknown Soldier and Tradgedy...

Nothing wrong with listen to the Casualties. I enjoy them, and they put on a pretty good show too.

I don't like them.

Punk never appealed to me.

Although I do like some of the more punky hardcore, like Panic.

Angry Balled Fists! 08-27-2005 01:20 PM

I'm much more into punk again now, stuff like Dead Kennedy's, Minor Threat, Adolescents, Rancid, Gorilla Biscuits.

A lot of 80's hardcore punk.

EDIT - wtf ! i'm listening to Tool !

/changes song

NP - Gorilla Biscuits - Things we say

That's better

Permanent Solution 08-27-2005 01:27 PM

Haha, I listened to Tool earlier, now I'm listening to Kutless...

Old Punk is good, but old Hardcore gets old, I prefer melodic hardcore stuff.

Mute Print 08-27-2005 01:28 PM

Melodic hardcore is awesome.

I'm listening to a band called Just Surrender. They're awesome. They remind me a bit of Taking Back Sunday.

Edit - I never understood all the hype over Tool. They're good , but I don't think they're amazing.

Angry Balled Fists! 08-27-2005 01:29 PM

Old Hardcore is just like old punk :-/

I can't tell the difference tbh.

I love Meoldic Hardcore, Thrice and Rise Agaisnt are both amazing.

What I remember about Kutless:

YOUR TOUUUUUCCCCHHHH!!!!

That's all I remember from them. Lame christ phags, they are.

Angry Balled Fists! 08-27-2005 01:30 PM

Wow, Reiner gave me some new rep i think !

Permanent Solution 08-27-2005 01:30 PM

Tool is overrated in every aspect of their music, especially lyrics/vocals.

I have the TAYF, but I've never understood all the hype behind TBS either, never did much for me.

Angry Balled Fists! 08-27-2005 01:31 PM

I love both of their albums.

a lot.

Also Strike Anywhere, plus many others I'm too lazy to list. THose are my top 3. Oh and Refused if they count.

Old Hardcore is faster and lower recording quality than old Punk.

Jon: They are...but the music is fairly enjoyable. They make good hard rock :)

Mute Print 08-27-2005 01:33 PM

I like Taking Back Sunday a lot as well. They aren't the best band as far as musicians or anything, but they're pretty good, and their songs are pretty enjoyable IMO.

DJ Ducksauce 08-27-2005 01:33 PM
Wow, who gave me rep from this thread !?
Can anyone here rep? (Besides mods)

As far as melodic harcore goes, I'd have to say A Wilhelm Scream, Thrice, and Rise Against are my favorites. Strike Anywhere is pretty cool too.

Angry Balled Fists! 08-27-2005 01:34 PM

4 star users.

Old Hardcore owns, and Refued are just hardcore.

I LOVVEEEEE refused.

DJ Ducksauce 08-27-2005 01:36 PM

The only four star person in pop-punk is Seth I think.
