I'll bite. What's this like?
Well, I'm absolutely awful at describing music and comparing music, but it reminded me of Kaizer's Orchestra and Idiot Flesh a bit. Some songs have a bit of a spanish flare to it. It was in the rotation CDs at my radio station and after playing the song "sonitus insolitus" on air, I determined it was worth giving the whole album a listen. It's decent.
alright like i keeeeep hearing about nick cave from you guys and i really hvaen't checked out a single thing. i know he has like ninety projects and i'm one to sort of associate them all as the music of nick cave so out of all of them, which album would you guys recommend i first check out?
I'd recommend either Let Love In or Abbatoir Blues/The Lyre of Orpheus. But really like you said there's a lot of Nick Cave stuff out there, so you're bound to find something you'll like. I'm digging the bands I saw at Big Day Out yesterday. RATM, Spoon, Arcade Fire, Dizzee Rascal, Bjork and Silverchair were actually quite good too. RATM were fucking amazing. |
since Let Love In was the first you mentioned, i will check that out first. thanks
