I don't see what the fuss is. This could just be temporary. Plus Metallica tabs shouldn't be too hard to find on the internet, right?

Oh yeah, a lot of tab sites are still up. Sadly my fave (Powertabs) is down, which is a real bastard.

It'll just be annoying if all tab sites in general get taken down.

yeah i started late, didn't appreciate the value of the website.

i had a good new years eve, lots of fun and fornication. cept i had to carry one of my friends home because he drank, smoked 4g of weed and ingested an unknown pill from an unknown man. how about yours?

Yeah I used Powertabs too. I use Guitar Pro now.

powertabs is down!!! (throws down hat and stamps on it).

oh well good thing i can read music. still have to pay for it though.

But wont it be legal if people just cover a song, play instruments, sing, etc.. and then share that mp3? Which is basically what tab sites are also as most of them aren't copied out of tab books.

Metallica has vowed to re-instate their legendary guitar solos on forthcoming albums - after fans voiced their disappointment with recent records.

The band plans to begin work on their ninth album when they return to the U.S. from Europe.

And lead guitarist Kirk Hammett is looking forward to a return to their musical roots.

He says, "I think the band misses solos just as much as the fans do. I mean, I play guitar solos every day!

but what I really want to know is i usually go to this tabs site called mxtabs.net if i cant figure out part of a song and this time it led me to this site and i cant get on mxtabs anymore.... any of you guys have the same problem??

If you read the last page or so of this thread it tells you why.

It has been shut down by the MPA. They say its an infringement of copyright, so MX has been taken down.

I'm not too sure, I know you can post your own songs as nobody owns the copyright, unless you copyrighted it.

I just asked in the problems thread. I'm sure it shouldn't be a problem if it's our own songs, just like we can YSI our own songs. I don't know about other songs though
