My dad helps design stuff for astronauts, but i play the didgeridoo.
(its true too) rep me yeah im a little late |
and gav, isnt in scientific notation, you cant have a 10 to the____?
It doesn't really matter ... the number he put is real ... just not scientifically correct (possibly). :amaze: |
why do i only have 32 reputation points
|
respect --
rep --
Heh, aw, come on! I only play it like, once a month. :thumb: -Gav |
my math teacher said it cant be ex. 4.5 x 10^4969698268
he says it cant be a 10. i dont know why, cuase i stopped listening, but thats all i remember. |
why do you ahve 32? why do i have 10!

I have 22 to be honest.
It doesn't really matter ... the number he put is real ... just not scientifically correct (possibly).
:amaze:
I don't get your question, but: Scientific notation can be any x10^x, as long as it's: Not negative (by this I don't mean the exponent, but the 10 as a base to the exponent) Not infinity A real number And the base has one real and rational number in the ones place followed by as many decimals as desired/allowed due to significant figures (a.bcdef x10^x, where a, b, c, d, e, and f each represent integers). Math = greater than all (except science). :thumb: -Gav |
my math teacher said it cant be ex. 4.5 x 10^4969698268
he says it cant be a 10. i dont know why, cuase i stopped listening, but thats all i remember.
Yes, that's true, but you can say 10^19564872578450897897 and it would still be a number, just not in correct scientific notation. *(I think) :amaze: |
Math = greater than all (except science and music). :thumb: -Gav
Fixed. :amaze: |

...BASS IS SO MUCH BETTER THAN GUITAR. It takes a true man to wield a bass. :thumb: -Gav |
hey hey
i do not condone this language in my forums |
ok, well he says in scientific notation, its not proper to put 5.6 x 10^86
but ill believe gav, this math guy is going through midlife crisis. |
Fixed.
:amaze:
Rep point'd and GP'd! :thumb: -Gav |
I have 22 to be honest.
I don't know how many I have. My dang computer is dysfunctional and won't let me check... :amaze: |
Rep point'd and GP'd!
:thumb: -Gav
Eff yeah! I have I think 8 GP's now  :amaze: |
ok, i really need to sleep now, its 12:05 and i have to wake up at 8 for school tomorrow. TGIF!

Bass is cool...
rep me |

That sucks. I have no school tomorrow
ok, well he says in scientific notation, its not proper to put 5.6 x 10^86

The following are correct scientific notational numbers: 1.0 x10^5 1.637493896 x10^0 3.3749846x10^847641328973980673809673986 The following are not: 63.8 x10^2 0.165 x10^35987 It's always got at least one integer in the one's place, an exponential base of ten, and an exponent that is not infinity.
Bass is cool...
rep me
I would ... except my computer and its virus won't allow it. :amaze: |
Beh, Luke, it's not letting me give you a rep point (it says I have to spread some around), so I'll give you it later. Remind me.
:thumb: -Gav |
ill rep you scorp
but fukc i cant sleep, i need pills. i realllly need to sleep or il be ****ed all day tomorrow |
