Daturah - Daturah
Laurie Anderson - Big Science
Sun City Girls

Anxious 01-17-2008 09:18 PM

I was thinking about that Laurie Anderson album, but it sounded too artfagish.

Bordello 01-17-2008 09:20 PM

It is a sort of artfagish stare at a blank canvas painting in an art gallery type album, but it's still great. Relaxing stuff.

Thanks 01-17-2008 09:21 PM

Laurie Anderson rules.

Bordello 01-17-2008 09:26 PM

Also digging lots of Harvey Milk.

Thanks 01-17-2008 09:27 PM

Wanna do a double blog for Big Science?

Bordello 01-17-2008 09:27 PM

Sounds good.

Thanks 01-17-2008 09:27 PM

I'll do it this weekend sometime.

I was pretty surpised that you had only just recently heard Big Science. I love that album. I listen to "From The Air" often.

that was very descriptive.

Shonen Knife today! probably not tomorrow though as they're beginning to grate on my nerves.

Phil 01-18-2008 12:09 AM

Midnight Juggernaut's Dystopia. 'Tis rather good.

Little Man being Erased 01-18-2008 01:58 AM

Holy fuck, The National were amazing the other night.

Diggage:

Black Lips - Let it Bloom
Coachwhips - Bangers vs. Fuckers
Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds - The Boatman's Call

pixiesfanyo 01-18-2008 02:02 AM

Mare - Mare
Isis - In the Absence of Truth

I hate listening to the Mare record because it makes me just realize they won't ever release anymore music. Which is the worst thing ever.
Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds - The Boatman's Call
Is that good? I'm thinking of getting it.

Little Man being Erased 01-18-2008 02:31 AM

That was only my first listen but yeah it's good. And if the prices of Nick Cave CDs here are anything like they are in Sydney(?) it's definitely worth it.

SubtleDagger 01-18-2008 02:39 AM

Glassjaw - Worship and Tribute

Newcastle. :D

but yeah, I've seen a bunch of them here for like $10 and it was one of them.

Little Man being Erased 01-18-2008 03:12 AM

Yeah pretty much all of Nick Cave's discography is $10 here. So I picked up three the other day.

poopie 01-18-2008 07:14 AM

alright like i keeeeep hearing about nick cave from you guys and i really hvaen't checked out a single thing. i know he has like ninety projects and i'm one to sort of associate them all as the music of nick cave so out of all of them, which album would you guys recommend i first check out?

also i have been digging bark psychosis - codename: dustsucker. i set INQB8R or whichever is similar to that (i think thats the name) on my ihome thing to wake up to. it was pretty nice. i think that might be my favorite song on c:ds. but yea i listened to the whole thing eating breakfast and on my way to class and stuff. i like it a lot more than i like hex. it's like they went from post rock to post trip hop rock. or something.

Kyle 01-18-2008 07:43 AM

Destroyer - Trouble in Dreams

This has leaked, sounds pretty good. They seem to be pretty much hated on Sputnik, but I love Destroyer. Pretty much the only Daniel Bejar project that really works.
