I'm digging School of the Flower much more this time around.

Digging the Mountain Goats. Just went to their show, and it was pretty cool. I've spoken with John Darnielle, too. Or that is, I said, "How come you didn't play 'No Children' " and he said, "Didn't Feel Like It".

It was a good show, but very short (an hour at most) and they seemed a bit tired/annoyed. I think they gave a much better show in Copenhagen a few days earlier, sadly.

It's made up of samples from Blue Note jazz recordings. Awesome album.

Except it isn't even samples.

It's basically just jazz songs and sometimes madlib comes in and goes, I'M MADLIB.

Still it is a pretty dope collection.

I was really surprised by this. The guy has a great voice, and it's overall really great lo-fi bedroom acoustic pop.

Album is really good. Might have to go see him at Bimbo's. I missed OOIOO when they came to SF. Gonna see Melt Banana in May for giggles. Guitar Wolf is supposedly playing a show somewhere in these woods too, but I think that's a lie. Japonism!
