Well, they were turned off in major forums (The Pit, R&M, etc) because occasionally people posted offensive pictures, which is bad. I think the default for a newly created forum is for IMG tags to be turned on though, so maybe that's why some of the newer forums still have them on.

Alternatively, it may be just that forums like Other have never suffered a goatse attack, so nothing's been done.

EDIT: Also, in the music forums and the pit, linked pictures are less of a necessity and more of a luxury. Whereas in the instrument forums it's often easier not to have to fiddle about with links and things, I think. That might have something to do with it.

Thanks, though I've known about [i]My Animal[/i] since I first did my customary search on the band, when I bought the self-titled. I remember getting the impression that it wasn't very good though, which is probably why I've more or less forgotten about it since then. Besides which, I don't even have the new one ([i]The Passage[/i]?) yet.

I remember last year me and a good friend were talking about girls at our school, and I told him about this girl I had a fecking huge crush on, how I thought she was totally focking gorgeous. But she was taken, so I couldn't do anything. And I really didn't want to tell her because I was too shy in her case, and I didn't want anybody to tell her either, because I didn't know how she would react to something like that.

My friend proceeded to tell her everything to her because they were good friends. I felt sick after that :-\
