After doing an FL on a RATM song I hadn't heard, I came to the conclusion that they sound the same in every song. Not as bad as Nickelback, but I am comparing them.

RATM has but One Song, but it is a good song, and it is unique among all other bands. Nickelback's One Song is boring, and not special or unique among mainstream rock bands at all.

RaTM did an awful cover of Kick out the Jams.

The movement wishes to attract people away from dependancy lifestyles centred around drug habits (legal or illegal) and unhealthy and exploitative eating and general living habits common in modern cultures. sXe is not dogmatic, there are no hard rules, these are for you to decide. Nobody should dictate like the police, or preach an ideology like the church or state. A common practice at all-ages punk shows was to mark minors with an "X" on their hands so they couldn't buy alcohol. As the straight-edge philosophy grew popular, punkers who were older than 18 but didn't drink for ideological reasons started to mark themselves with the X in a show of solidarity. You don't join straight-edge, you become straight-edge. To do that you just get involved in the scene and start thinking for yourself. And how do they know tattoo ink isn't a poison? I mean, everyone who isn't them knows that hardcore music is a poison itself, but this is something less apparent that they may need to dwell upon.

Indeed. I don't drink, smoke, do drugs or have sex, but I don't need to put an X on my hand to prove that I'm better than people who do do those things.
