metalicajaymz 04-08-2007 03:11 PM

yes they are called the following:

Game of Pricks (one of the most perfect songs ever, no hyperbole)
My Valuable Hunting Knife
Watch Me Jumpstart
Closer You Are
Blimps Go 90

etc. etc. they're all good

The Jungler 04-08-2007 03:28 PM

Kayo Dot - Choirs of the Eye

First taste of Kayo Dot. Really good, as far as my first listen tells.

Are Bee Thousand and Alien Lanes the only GBV albums worth getting?

metalicajaymz 04-08-2007 03:52 PM

no

Vampire on Titus is awesome and relatively cohesive, Propeller is great, Earthquake Glue and Half-Smiles of the Decomposed are both very good examples of the post-lo-fi period, and Mag Earwhig! is alright and 'rocks' more than any of the otehr stuff.
It's a new mixtape he brought out a couple of months ago called Paint It Blacker. It's got the original Missing Links with the Radiohead bit and a bunch of new tracks with popular songs sampled. It's really good.
Ah, cool. I might have to check that out.

Tindersticks - Simple Pleasure

aah this album is so fucking cool. Few albums are straight-up cooler.

EDIT: man, when Staples sings 'don't you know that I'll alllllll-ways' in "If You're Looking For a Way Out," I become gay.
