Matt? 12-10-2010 12:54 PM

plague soundscapes is really unlistenable for me though. some of their more hardcore shit is cool though

HighandDriving 12-10-2010 01:36 PM

Ya their early pv shit is awesome.

christsimpson 12-10-2010 02:04 PM

early stuff is great. but come on. everything that has to do with Justin Pearson is obviously a gimmick. I don't like an artist yelling "omg look at me" when I'm trying to listen to it.

HighandDriving 12-10-2010 02:50 PM

He staged a gay wedding and they wear costumes so ya you're not far off the mark.

Matt? 12-10-2010 02:54 PM

not to mention he had his own "roast" for his book release or something.

whiteminority 12-10-2010 02:57 PM

why don't you ignore all that shit and focus on the music?

HighandDriving 12-10-2010 03:04 PM

Well I'm superficial so that's my excuse.

christsimpson 12-10-2010 03:07 PM
why don't you ignore all that shit and focus on the music?
I like the music. but it's still really annoying and obnoxious.

CompanionCube 12-10-2010 04:06 PM

you can make a point without stabbing people in the eye with it

cobert 12-11-2010 04:48 AM

gymcandy655d 12-11-2010 07:26 AM

SeaAnemone 12-11-2010 09:41 AM

pop-punk band from Chicago are surprisingly good

http://www.myspace.com/stayaheadoftheweather

they're playing shows with snowing, Street Smart Cyclist, My Heart to Joy, Castevet... and the music is a little less emo but a lot of fun

witchxrapist 12-11-2010 10:03 AM

That is very fun indeed.

SeaAnemone 12-11-2010 10:17 AM

fantastic :)

witchxrapist 12-11-2010 10:19 AM

Oh cool, I just found out there's a black metal band named Castevet and they got really good reviews.

I hope this sum hipster bm.

SeaAnemone 12-11-2010 10:23 AM

lol yeah whenever I talk about Castevet on the review site it seems like there's always one detractor "WRONG CASTEVET FAG"

witchxrapist 12-11-2010 10:57 AM

Yeah, metal fans are homos most of the time.

This BM Castevet is really cool though. They have a lot of variation, some DM riffs, some hardcore riffs, even a few skram-ish riffs (of course I doubt they realize this, and they and their fans would rage so hard if they read that).

Okay, so first time listening to emo Castevet when not seeing them live.

Summer Fences > The Echo & The Light, and holy shit studio recordings don't do them justice.

RetiredAt21 12-11-2010 12:34 PM

SeaAnemone 12-11-2010 12:38 PM

SeaAnemone 12-11-2010 01:21 PM

Penn Manor does not have the best education in the county, that's for sure

christsimpson 12-11-2010 02:06 PM

emo Castevet are like Small Brown Bikes with longer songs and a more mellow sound
it's interesting and pretty cool

haven't heard LP yet

didn't pay attention since it's not on CYLS

SeaAnemone 12-11-2010 02:23 PM

the LP is so much better than the EP, it was one of my favorites of 2009. "Stranger, You Know" is a sublime song.

So Suis La Lune did a US tour this past year... and released a demo for it, and I didn't know about either of these things?

HighandDriving 12-11-2010 02:45 PM

They were suppose to come over to Canada but got denied at the board :(

witchxrapist 12-11-2010 02:47 PM

That's so gay.

HighandDriving 12-11-2010 03:13 PM

witchxrapist 12-11-2010 03:27 PM
