That's awesome.

Tyler 10-29-2009 12:05 AM

It's a good part but it's just too much.

Jaundice 10-29-2009 12:07 AM

in theory it sounds like a bad idea

Tyler 10-29-2009 12:07 AM

Is Cor Scorpii worth checking out? I've heard the name but I just realized it was basically Windie minus Valfar

Nepenthe 10-29-2009 12:10 AM

well yeah thats basically what it is but honestly you dont notice the difference

if you like windir its worth checking out

their ep was one of the few reviews i did back in the day haha

Tyler 10-29-2009 12:10 AM

EP or Full Length? Arntor is the only Windir album I have btw but I'm thinking I'll just buy 1184 or their last one instead of downloading them.

Nepenthe 10-29-2009 12:11 AM

i havent listened to the full length, i just got the ep when it first came out. youre better off getting the rest of the windir discography first. but if you still feel like you need more after that then by all means get the cor scorpii ep. im sure the full length sounds just like it as well.

Tyler 10-29-2009 12:16 AM

well yeah I am going to get the rest of Windir's stuff I just wanna see if I can get legit copies before I DL.

Nepenthe 10-29-2009 12:18 AM

oh youre one of those people

Tyler 10-29-2009 12:22 AM

yeah i like to own cds

i download a lot too though

Nepenthe 10-29-2009 12:27 AM

but yeah cor scorpii is pretty much windirs 5th best album if ya get my meaning. definitely worth listening to at least once.

Tyler 10-29-2009 12:29 AM

fosh.

Silenius 10-29-2009 12:41 AM
Is Cor Scorpii worth checking out? I've heard the name but I just realized it was basically Windie minus Valfar
Windir - Valfar = generic folk/pagan black metal

Tyler 10-29-2009 12:43 AM

gimmie something else to listen to, still looking for new black metal but not really wanting anything to 'raw' right now (meaning im listening to stuff like belenos and windir so i dont really need darkthrone-clones right now).

Silenius 10-29-2009 12:44 AM

Dub Buk? (first full length)

Tyler 10-29-2009 12:45 AM

that's a silly name, will look into it

do you mean Moon of Revenge or Idu na Wy!

Silenius 10-29-2009 12:49 AM

Idu na Wy!, the second full length blows btw.

Tyler 10-29-2009 12:52 AM

no the first one i posted was the demo iw asnt sure what you meant

ill look into idu na wy

Nepenthe 10-29-2009 12:52 AM

ive got idu na wy and id say its pretty not that good at all. actually sucks pretty hard.

altar of plagues, new blut aus, ghast, trinacria, heresi, new wolves ittr, new cobalt, fen, and nachtmystium should keep you busy. as far as the past year or so goes.

Silenius 10-29-2009 12:53 AM

Yeah no I meant Idu Na Wy, I haven't heard any of the demos or EPs. I hope you like Nokturnal Mortum btw otherwise forget Dub Buk.

Nepenthe 10-29-2009 12:53 AM

wittr? :(

Nepenthe 10-29-2009 12:54 AM

yeah man ill admit their first album wasnt so great but theyve gotten better with each release and the black cascade is absolutely excellent. opening track is a masterpiece.

Silenius 10-29-2009 12:56 AM

Next Krallice are gonna start getting name-dropped. ;(

Nepenthe 10-29-2009 12:57 AM

i wouldve named them too but i just assumed tyler would be like ooooohhh hipster bullpoop

obviously you havent talked to me enough since i came back anton

oh and add nahvalr to my list if youre into really drone-y stuff

and ruins of beverast's first album if you haven't already listened

witchxrapist 10-29-2009 12:59 AM

Krallice is like so bad guys.

Will check the ones I haven't heard out. I hope to god you aren't referring to the new Nachtmystium though, it's ****ing atrocious.

And yeah I actually do kinda like Krallice but not really what I want. I still want stuff that sounds like black metals.

Silenius 10-29-2009 01:00 AM

Any Ruins of Beverast is good.

Tyler 10-29-2009 01:02 AM

I got their new album last night but I immediately turned it off. I was expecting black metal, and instead I got some shitty neo-Root knockoff. I'm assuming that changes or that I just wasn't in the mood for it so I'll go back to it later but I don't see myself being able to sit through an hour and a half of that.

Nepenthe 10-29-2009 01:02 AM

krallice: yeah thats why i didnt list them

nachtmystium: i was moreso referring to their latest ep and instinct:decay

and make sure you check my edit on last post

and tyler, get unlock the shrine. like immediately. new ruins of beverast has got nothing on that album. easily the best black metal album of the 2000's.
